Abilene Whitten Inn

The staff and the cost were great. The breakfast was fantastic and the gentleman who helped with the waffles was wonderful. No hot water in the shower at 7 a.m. Sunday morning, the bathroom door stuck and was hard for my husband to open. Also 1 ply toilet paper? Didn't know that was even an option in 2026. Really loud crackling noises from the air conditioner vents, so we didn't get a lot of sleep Saturday night.

The location, the staff and the general comfort was excellent. We were heading north to South Dakota from South Texas, and stopped there for the night. A week later, as we were heading home, we stopped there again because it was so good. There was nothing that we didn't like.

Pleasant

Great location and conditions

Close to places to eat. The room was very dated and felt old. It was small and the hotel itself didn't feel like was kept up very well. The breakfast was the usual stuff... powdered scrambled eggs... and onion skin thin bacon. They had a sign limiting guests to 3 pieces of bacon. For the price of the room that sign was ridiculous.

Superb

Needed more outlets for plugging devices in. Towels were so old they were scratchy. Old furniture.

Staff is very friendly A little bit older

Exceptional

Room not ready until 6;00 pm

Location is good. The room was okay. They need a pantry, not just vending machines. Also, the hotel is a little dingy in the common areas. My room was OK, but, the second time I stayed here my room was not very clean.

Clean and friendly service

Very good

Breakfast was perfect and staff was amazing. The front desk staff was amazing and friendly. I stay there basically once a week. I only stay there. Nothing. A perfect 10

Clean It was 99 degrees the day we stayed and the pool was closed! Seemed like it had been winterized for the season. It was very disappointing

Good

Not a fancy hotel, but the rooms are clean, hallways are clean, staff is exceptionally nice. I would stay there again next time I am in Abilene!
