Quality Inn & Suites Arden Hills - Saint Paul North

I frequently stay at this hotel because it is well maintained. Competative price.

Very clean, basic. Room fairly small but adequate. Quiet despite the proximity to I-694, a Chick-fil-A across the parking lot, and busy roads. Good hot breakfast but not much seating in the breakfast area. Very convenient location with good access to surface roads, freeways, and lots of restaurants and other services. Would stay here again.

My flight got in after 11:00 p.m. We talked and finally got in bed at 2:30. It was then immediately clear where the smell was coming from. The sheets, bedspread, and pillows all smelled of body odor, like someone had been sweating (and had never been introduced to a shower) in them. When I got in bed and put my head on the pillow, I smelled the bedding and it had not been cleaned from the previous guest (or guests - it smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks). We took everything off the bed - at 3:00 a.m. the night before my daughter's wedding - and took it all to the front office. The man was helpful and immediately gave us new bedding, but seemed strangely unsurprised and unmoved by the horribly smelling linens. Perhaps this is not infrequent. Also, the ironing board was disgusting. I don't know what was on it. Had to bring my dress to the venue and locate a makeshift spot to iron. Stay away; it's not even cheap!

Parking was ample, room was clean.

The staff was helpful. When I arrived, I asked if I could change my reservation from a standard room to a handicapped accessible room. They were happy to do so. The handicapped rooms are not handicapped friendly. They do not have any turn radiuses for wheelchairs or rollators, no roll-in shower, and a mimmimum of grab bars. The breakfast was wonderful and the room was clean.

Great place to spend a few nights. Great staff and very clean rooms and facilities.
