Sonesta ES Suites Baton Rouge University at Southgate

Clean, comfortable and convenient to LSU

Very comfortable accommodation. The staff, the room and the breakfast were very nice and a pleasant surprise. We were very happy with our stay.

Sam and Blanche at check in were great! Above and beyond! Bed was very comfy, lots of towels and kitchen essentials. Really pleased with location and all of the staff that I met. Housekeeping, breakfast was HUGE, front desk, all around great spot for the price and location .

Staff was very courteous. In the middle of the night, all power went out. It was really really hot in the hallways, even with the power being on. Great location near the university.

Great room, and buffet breakfast. Free parking Cold A/C

No complaints

Our room was noisy because it was near the elevators, and we could hear traffic outside. The air conditioner was also very loud but I still really like this hotel because of the location and the price.

Excelent location for LSU parents, near the campus, walking distance to restaurants, gas station, convenience store.

Excellent stay! Perfect location and staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Everything very clean and near LSU

The stay was amazing! Just wish the front desk staff was more welcoming.

First time in Baton Rouge. Great location for LSU visit. Breakfast was awesome! Staff super friendly and helpful and fun! Room was perfect! Will definitely be back.

Good stay just needs cleaned up more the floors were dirty and sticky

easy check in!

Our stay here was just ok. While the staff is cordial and helpful, the hotel is in need of repairs and a better maintenance schedule. We stayed in 2 different rooms due to a change of travel plans. The first one had an air conditioner that loudly rattled (in LR and BR side). We had to turn tv volume way up to hear and rattling also kept us awake. The second room had a shower that wouldn’t fully turn on…the diverter was done. We took a shower under a trickle while the floor of the tub filled up with disgusting looking water because the drain didn’t work properly either. We were grossed out by debris in the water. The location is convenient and the suite arrangement is nice but a check on maintenance needs to be a priority.

Staff was very helpful

The rooms were molded and carpets were cleaned and wet

Great property. The only issue we had was an extremely loud A/C. It rattled most of the night - rooms were full because of Freshman move-in and we had a long day - too tired to tell the staff but figured they wouldn’t be able to do much.

We did not stay , would not accept our reservations Staff- rude , not helpful . Specially the man at the counter when we arrived - really rude!

Unexpected breakfast amenity suite. Front desk staff is wonderful!
