Colorado Chautauqua

When you walk into the lodge, it has a funky smell. I know it’s a very old building in a mountain setting so I’ve overlooked it on my rating. Otherwise, the room and setting are great. Choice location.

This property is unique and historic, in a beautiful area. The room was great, although no TV. The roads are in quite bad shape and the parking is tough sometimes as it is all street parking and not guaranteed. Otherwise, the dining hall has great food and there are lots of activities like hikes you can join.

The rooms are beautifully turned out, simple but elegant, clean and fresh. The items in the kitchen were fit to purpose and perfectly organized great place to stay feels like home.

Great time! Cabins are clean and restaurant is delicious

We stayed here the night of our wedding and everything was perfect!

Close to hiking! Gorgeous location 30 minutes from our home, but is a getaway! Parking difficult! Lots of construction. Think parking passes would help those in lodges. Outsiders parking in front of our lodge.

Wonderful cottage!

Beautiful setting There wasn’t any place to put luggage or clothes. It was hard to stay organized. Set of drawers and a luggage rack would be helpful.

Wonderful overnight after a concert. So convenient, comfortable, and amazing brunch at the dining hall. Be prepared for a bit of a parking challenge.

This was by far my favorite location to stay in Boulder! Room was perfect, clean, and spacious. The street parking wasn’t too bad. The hiking trails were walking distance to my room, didn’t have to drive anywhere! I didn’t get to try the restaurant but that was also walking distance. Will definitely be back.

We stayed at Chataqua Lodge for two nights for my mom's 72nd birthday, and we had a wonderful time! The staff had left a little goodie bag and happy birthday card for my mom when we first arrived, which we so appreciated to make the stay a little more special! Most of our time was spent out on the screened in porch. The porch was probably the best part of the cottage. And we all just loved the history of the lodge and surrounding area. The whole area was a little haven in the middle of Boulder. There wasn't much we didn't like. The beds are definitely pretty cozy for two people, but I understand that it's an old building and there's not much that can be done about this because bigger beds wouldn't fit. The only thing I wish the front desk person had mentioned when we checked in was that we could use our room keys for a 10% discount at the dining hall. While the room key had it written in big letters on it, I honestly didn't pay attention, and realized only after we'd gone to the Chataqua Dining Hall for my mom's birthday dinner that we could have gotten 10% off our meal since we were staying at the lodge.

Rustic vibe, clean, cozy cottages with screened porch and amazing views of the Flatirons. Great location in the park, hiking trails less than 40 seconds away (and probably 20+ accessible within 10-15 minute walk). Staff very friendly and helpful, and nice restaurant and bar!

The location of these cottages is incredible. Staying in such an idyllic setting was unbelievable and the access to such great trails was so nice. We had plenty of space in our cottage. We loved spending time outside in the screened porch. We also loved getting a latte at the cafe every morning.

Beautiful spot!
