Best Western Plus Coachella Valley Inn & Suites

My husband and I stayed one night. First walking in the staff was very friendly and check in was very easy. There was complimentary coffee 24/7 which was great. The room was very spacious and clean. It had a mini fridge which came in handy for us and a microwave. The bathroom was very big and had great lighting. Overall I would definitely book again and recommend. Also, there was breakfast

To Best Western Corporate Customer Care and Hotel Management, I am writing to formally escalate a missing-property matter involving my recent stay at the Best Western Plus Coachella Valley Inn & Suites located at 31450 Bob Hope Drive in Cathedral City, California. My partner, Renida Shaw, and I stayed at the property from September 21 through the morning of September 25, 2026. The reservation/stay was under our names, which can be verified through your records. We stayed in Room 420. After checking out on September 25, I discovered that I had inadvertently left a pair of brown Christian Louboutin men's Oxford dress shoes in Room 420. These are expensive, distinctive shoes and are not an item that could easily be confused with ordinary discarded property. Since discovering they were missing, both Renida and I have made repeated attempts to have the property locate and return them. My concern at this point is not simply that the shoes have not yet been located. It is the inconsistent and troubling information we have received regarding what was actually done to locate them. On the evening of September 27, we spoke with an employee named Antonio, who identified himself as the manager. After placing me on hold, he returned to the phone laughing and stated that he was unable to find anything. When I specifically asked where he had looked, he then told me that he had actually been unable to access the area where housekeeping items are kept because he did not have the key. He stated that someone would call me the following day. He did not ask for my telephone number or other contact information before ending the conversation. I personally went to the hotel at approximately 9:15 a.m. Pacific Time on September 28 to follow up. The woman at the front desk told me that she had just spoken with Renida, who was separately calling about the same shoes. ay, and ask whether she had accidentally put my shoes in her car. That statement immediately raised an additional concern for me. I asked why a housekeeper would "accidentally" take a pair of men's Christian Louboutin dress shoes from a guest room and place them in her personal vehicle. I was then told that the employee did not know where the housekeeper might keep lost property. At this point, I am requesting that this matter be formally escalated and documented. I am not accusing any specific employee of theft. However, given the value of the property, the fact that the shoes were left in Room 420, and the statements made to us by hotel employees, I expect the hotel to conduct and document a meaningful investigation rather than simply tell us that the shoes cannot be found. Please immediately preserve and review all information potentially relevant to this matter, including: The housekeeping assignment and cleaning records for Room 420 following our checkout on September 25. The identity of every employee who entered Room 420 after our departure and before the next guest occupied the room. Any electronic key or room-access records available for Room 420 during that period. The hotel's lost-and-found log and any records of property recovered from Room 420 on or after September 25. Any housekeeping logs, supervisor inspection records, internal messages, incident reports, or other documentation concerning Room 420 or the missing shoes. Any available surveillance footage covering relevant employee, housekeeping, service, storage, lost-and-found, hallway, elevator, or exit areas for the period following our checkout. Please preserve any such footage immediately so that it is not automatically overwritten while this matter is being investigated. Room was nice and clean. The air conditioner was so loud it woke me up several times throughout the night. But it was too hot to leave it off. Also, the door has a big gap under it and the outer hall light was on all night so the light was coming into our room, making it hard to sleep. We put a towel under it on the second night. Otherwise everything was satisfactory but no streaming on the television, only cable channels. The staff was perfectly friendly. Breakfast was okay, but I saw one do the workers reaching. Her hands into the breads bin and several of her dangly bracelets were scraping across the bagels. She also was wiping her forehead while dealing with the breads. So I didn't feel confident in the hygiene of the foods.

I would absolutely stay here again. Only reason I did not give it a 5 star was because of the breakfast. The eggs had so much water they were sitting in. Other than that everything was great. They could use a little more water pressure in the shower though as well.

Unhelpful staff. We needed 30 minutes late checkout and got rejected - you can’t check in until 4PM and you have to check out at 11:00 sharp?!? At least you’d expect a properly cleaned room for that.

Most important to us, the beds were comfy! The room was clean, the staff was helpful and kind but rather standoffish until approached. The breakfast area was super clean and organized with decent variety. The parking was a little quirky but the location is good with food options and gas nearby. The pool area is small and has no shade (not good when temps exceed 100°) but otherwise it’s fine. We would def stay here again!
