Holiday Inn Phoenix - Chandler by IHG

The location is great They have been remodeling now for over a year. I stayed in room 108 Saturday night. The room directly across the hall was being worked on with drywall mud all over the front door and down the hall.

Ease from Airport Under renovations. Very noisy air conditioning system. TV didn't work until staff worked on it. Second TV never did work. Lots of dirty carpet in ha)leays.

The staff that night were very helpful as well as the next morning Wendy and Nathan were at the check-in desk. They were very helpful and were a few hiccups with a lock that didn’t work and a bathroom that got a little bit of a flood but those two people were very good and the morning staff were gracious took good care of us at breakfast and we shall return. Happy to know that you allow dogs.

Convenience

Cockroach in bathroom, but with renovations and it being the desert it happens…. Perhaps pest control more often as In live in area and never have issue with bugs

They were in the midst of renovations, so they had plastic on hallway floors as walls were being painted, the ice machine did not work on my floor (missing as it was being replaced, had to go to front desk for ice), the outdoor jacuzzi did not work, outside had construction material everywhere. The gym floor was being done so I could not use the gym. I've stayed here before and have had a good experience but not so good this time. :-(

Location is good

It's really humid this time of year so it was hot & soon as we entered the room it was nice & cool. A big relief for us to relax & get ready for the funeral. Cielo was very helpful in showing the easy entrance closest to the room, as we had a newborn grandbaby with us as well. Definitely will be booking again in the future.

We stay at this hotel, often. It's always been clean, andd well-maintained, and our stay has always been peaceful/enjoyable. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had this time. They are doing extensive renovations (which suggests that the hotel will be wonderful, eventually). This stay, however was loud with all the construction. They started hammering between 7 and 7:30 am (very early). Our bathroom was torn up: peeling wallpaper, the ceiling was cut-out and there was insulation hanging down in shower. We did not receive advanced notice that the hotel was under renovation, nor were we offered any kind of break on the price :(

Bad choice to stay. Construction going on very dirty and dust all over doors. There Was crickets in restroom and a big gap from shower faucet to the wall. Would not stay here again. Manager was no help

Good place to stay

I can't believe that rooms were rented with the extent of the renovation taking place . The noise and the debris were not accommodating to any sort of relaxation . In the bathrooms the ceiling was a piece of sheetrock, not properly measured , which spewed debris at any movement .

The property is amazing, especially as it was going through renovation. Overall it’s a great stay so I wouldn’t deduct the overall stay due to the renovations.

Remodeling going on should make that known prior to booking very dusty and rooms were somewhat finished. Rooms should be discounted during a remodel
