MainStay Suites Colorado Springs East - Medical Center Area

Terrible experience. I felt like a second class citizen. Outside door on ground level. Dangerous. All the handicapped rooms are outside while all others are internal hallways. No roll in shower, seat or bars. Closet bar too high to hang clothes. All dishes and glasses unreachable. Absolutely not a usable room. You have to go ousde in the rain for ice, pool or breakfast. Asked for a different room. Staff huffed, rolled her eyes. I was unhappy and was dismissed by her telling the other employee to " Deal with this". I know they were busy but customer service was abominable. If you are handicapped, DO NOT STAY HERE !!

Nice stay very clean and safe area

Larger breakfast available than expected, the check-in staff were friendly and accommodating, if overworked. We tried to early check-in calling ahead twice only to have to wait around because the room wasn't actually cleaned for us to check in. With about 20-30 min left on breakfast, the attendant was grumpy, unwelcoming, and rushing us while he was already starting to break down and clean up the area. Also, the room I booked was not the room I got. The room was to have a balcony and while the rest of the room (floorplan) was as expected, we did not have a balcony.

Clean spacious room. The breakfast had a large variety of items to choose from. Very good spread. The rosemary and garlic potatoes were good.

Loved that we got an outside access room.

Enjoyed our stay

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Thank you

The room was clean but the bathroom sliding door was constantly getting stuck and coming off the hinges. Luckily I had someone with me, otherwise I probably could've locked myself in the bathroom.

Good

Overall a fine hotel and a good option if you need to be on the east side of the city. Can only think of one recommendation: Some of the soundproofing could be improved. When the air conditioner unit wasn’t running, traffic noise from outside was noticeable, as were pipe movements in the wall (I could hear when the room above flushed, which while not terrible also wasn’t an enjoyable thing to hear as I’m falling asleep).

Very good

Great stay

This hotel was supposedly dog friendly but wasn’t allowed to leave dog in room alone and no place on property to take your dog to use bathroom

Only stayed for one night during a move, but the room and property were AMAZING! Modern and new. The kitchenette was cute and clean. The bathroom was gorgeous. The beds weren't great, but that's just because I like something a lot less firm. The breakfast was delicious! In walking distance to King Soopers if you need anything. Will most definitely be back if I'm staying in COS again.

Superb

The entrance is a bit misleading because it looks like they have two separate entrances which is incorrect. We found that out the hard way. It is MainStay and Comfort all together in one at the "main" entrance. The location can be a bit tricky to get to with the road repairs that were going on during the week of June while we were there. Available parking at night is somewhat limited so be aware of this if you will be out around 10:00 pm or later.
