SureStay Hotel by Best Western Columbus Downtown

This is an older property, a two storey motel where it is possible to park by your room. The rooms are small by the standards of more recent properties, however the rooms have been refurbished and are well decorated and comfortable. It struck me as a place that is run by people who care well for it and look after guests with care. The location is excellent, a short walk into central Columbus. It was all fine.

It was adequate Room was dimly lit. Flaking paint by door. Bedding had some stains, Single sink. ,

Nothing. It looked old and dingy.

I reserved a room showed up and the guy at the desk gave my room away and I tryed to call and confirm and he hung up on me

We booked the room through Expedia to be told when we arrived at the location at 1 am, that our reservation was canceled. I informed the desk clerk that I had not received notification via email, call or text. He said let me refresh my computer, verified my name and then turned around and stated yeah we canceled it. I asked well since I am here and no form of notification was sent, do you have a room. He said nope and we left.

Convenient to area, pleasant staff Air conditioning wouldn't cool the room. Even running it for 2-1/2 days. Shower is built with a weird crown where you have to stand in one spot or you literally will fall out. Really overpriced at $100 a night.
