Residence Inn by Marriott Coralville

The hotel was understaffed during breakfast. There was no coffee and the front desk agent was kind enough to help solve the problem. The room was comfortable and the kitchen area was a nice plus.

The room was large and had potential but it needs alot of updates and deep cleaning. There was food under the desk and our dog found an old rawhide bone under the bed. It really looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. There was moldy food in the garbage disposal, dirty dishes in the cupboards and the appliances were filthy. No hot water in the bathroom sink and very limited hot water in the shower- terrible water pressure. Television sets were very small- we didn’t realize they make TVs that small! Key cards didn’t work in our room door. The staircase had debris all over and needed to be vacuumed. Our room was quiet and the bed was comfortable- there was no bedding for the fold out couch. Breakfast was okay- the kitchen staff was very nice.

This is our go-to place when we have a multi-night stay. We appreciate the extra space to relax, eat, and make food. It's a convenient location for food shopping, restaurants, and getting on the main highways. The breakfast has something for everyone. This time we had a couple of issues. The light over the table didn't work; turns out the bulb wasn't screwed in. The toilet seat shifted dramatically when you sat on it and got up; we repeatedly had to try to tighten the stripped seat bolts.

Was told the property was “full” but it appears highly unlikely that it was. Carpet was fraying in the room and there was trash under the mattress of the sleeper couch.

Dirtiest hotel ive ever stayed in. One of the cleaning staff sat on edge of bed and left some kind of mess behind when they got up. Most disgusting thing I've ever seen in a motel

Hotel overall clean and convenient , no complaints there. One downside for those traveling with pets— Expedia lists as pet friendly with no other info, but fee is $100 per night which is way more than other places I’ve been. Greater than 50% cost of the room itself. Wish that was more clear when booking …

I liked the location.

Our bathtub had a huge chip/hole in the tub.

Breakfast was minimal. Staff couldn't keep up with breakfast items, toaster didn't work, stuck with cereal and bread most of the time. No Hot tub, it was boarded up. The pool had chunks of the floor all over in the base. Pool room walls were full of water droplets, and rust from no ventilation. Hotel room door frame looked like someone kicked it in. Fees charged/reserved at check in with no notification of it being deducted.

The water when wanting to take a shower was room temperature . Didn’t matter what time of the day it was . Even 12:30 at night . It was room temperature . You actually got cold in the shower . Also our door had been broken into at one point . Chop marks on it and the door was cracked . Hot tub was out of service . Chunks of the swimming pool were broke out too .

Our toilet stopped flushing at 4:00am. We had to go down the hall to go to the restroom.

The room was very good and the pool was great but the exterior was rather worn with broken concrete all over . We have stayed in the Residence Inn in Chapel Hill and the outside is very attractive.
