Staff were very nice. Champagne upon arrival. Rooms were clean/perfect and view to the river was amazing! Food was really good and big portions. Drinks were phenomenal.
-
I hate the fact that I requested the days that I needed and I don’t get them, the tv wasn’t working no trash bags, I was promised a champagne that I never got

To Darien. It’s a quiet and upscale property for a very fair price.
-
Breakfast could use some improvement. Some more upscale options would be welcome. Customers would flock towards a unique experience.
-
The room was very clean, staff is always helpful. The happy hour cannot be beat! Easy walking to restaurants and bars in Darien.

Had to ask for the promotion items before I received them . Stay 2 nights in row get freebies Slightly annoying . Labor Day weekend restaurant decided to close early lol . No steaks - maybe 1 Appetizer and maybe 1 dessert they had . (There usually slow on mondays was there excuse..) My wife highly allergic to any seafood.. don’t eat here if you have any allergies to seafood/shellfish . Grilled chicken on our salads reeked from fish had to send hers back Drinks were good Beds comfy 3/5 stars An actual waitress instead of a hotel guest service person would have probably comped the meal but what ever

Very nice hotel with awesome rooms however, there is a shortage of housekeepers and rooms aren't ready at 3:00 PM check in the two times I've stayed there. I was issue a room digital key at 2:00 PM for requested 1st floor room that was not ready at the time. When I returned back to the hotel at 4:30 PM my room still wasn't ready. concierge was very polite and found me a room on the 2nd floor. Would I stay in The Oats again sure I would.

Lovely southern hotel with a lot of charm in an interesting historical setting & town

Property was very clean and staff very friendly.
-
Nice facilities, friendly staff, clean, well appointed! The food at the restaurant could be better. The prime rib was dry, old and tasteless. The sauté shrimp was also tasteless. Breakfast had not a single option is fruit.

If you want to be pampered and have enjoyable couple of days book here.

Beautiful location. Friendly staff.
-
Beautiful, romantic, awesome pool and pool bar, friendly staff.

One corner of rug was loose and bent back - tripping hazard. The rooster outside started crowing before daylight. Breakfast was good and affordable. Interior design was very nice. I grew up in Darien and sure miss the docks and shrimp boats that were removed to make room for the hotels by the river
