Extended Stay America Select Suites Chicago Downers Grove

Good

I liked the location of the property. Television had no remote, the room smelled, the water in the bathtub took forever to go out.

Disappointing

The fridge was broken lost food and it took 3 days to fix fridge

Good parking. Decent area but the hotel itself was unsavory. One bar of soap and not even an ice machine! Stains on walls, carpet, furniture falling apart… the place is a dump. AVOID

Staff was nice an check-in. Overall not a great property but it go the job done. There were a lot of vocal dogs near me. Bring your earplugs or play some white noise if you want to get some sleep.

Very good

Nothing really to say. Neighbors playing loud music late at night, people in the general vicinity getting into fights (whether physical or verbal).

Would not book here again. Sad

First off, the carpet was old, worn and DIRTY. The furniture was old and very scratched up. Some furniture had the top sawn off on one side with no finish. The counter top was sawn off and unfinished, The curtain rod was bent an coming down on one side. There was no coffee maker. The amenities included a "Grab N' Go Breakfast". There was no such thing. The front desk was shuttered in the morning... office hours start at 9:00.

Had to go down two times because the key cards wouldn’t open the room door

Friendly staff, good location

The hallway was a bit smelly. some littering outside. but other than that it was alright. good size room. shower was good. Oh and the card key kept on not working. i got locked out of my room a couple of times.

Location good. That’s it. Everything. No kitchen utensils, cups or anything provided. Had to pay for them. Uncomfortable bed. Dirty floor. Two towels. One bar of soap, no shampoo.

Poor

The African American lady has great customer service When ur card doesn’t work u have to call the front desk so someone can giv u a new key I feel that’s inconvenient

parking was easy and secure

Not good

I had a wonderful stay, completely elevated by the outstanding service at the front desk. Martha made the booking and reservation process incredibly smooth and stress-free. Lesly was also fantastic, securely holding my UPS packages so they were ready for me right when I arrived. It is so rare to find staff this attentive and helpful. Martha and Lesly truly made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Highly recommend this property!
