High Country Motor Lodge – Near NAU/Downtown

From the moment we entered the staff were outstanding, friendly, and helpful. The accommodations were excellent, clean , roomy along with a comfortable bed and nice linens. The surrounding grounds were wonderful, fire pits , lots of outside seating with a view of tree lined hills . The deli area had everything we needed for breakfast and a light delicious dinner. Also the girls working the deli should get a raise , they work hard and do pretty much everything. Definitely we will stay here again when traveling to Flagstaff, also ten minutes to the airport.

The aesthetics are warm and inviting, rich wood tones, velvets and leathers. Thoughtful amenities, including an electric kettle and pour over coffee in the room. Upscale bathroom supplies as well as easy open storage throughout the room.

My Wife is a smoker, she smoked outside our room 25ft away from door, she put her cig;s out and brought them in and put them in the trash can, nowhere outside to put them. After we left I had a charge on my card,called they said it was for smoking in the room, I explained it to them, they said the maid found butts in the trash can that was smoking in the room. Does the maid wear gloves when going through the trash? I will get the word out online and try to help the next one, throw your butts on the ground not in the trash

The breakfast menu was so limited we did not eat there. Example no toast or muffins. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The gym was OK, but could use a little more room. The rooms did not have a dresser or shelves to put clothes in. The menu for food service was limited and not very appealing.

Beautiful property.

This is a very well redone property and the pool is great. The cost for food and drinks is quite high even for convenience but there are plenty of choices in town.

Best sheets i’ve ever slept in in a hotel

Beautiful hotel. Every space was thoughtfully curated, and the amenities were great. Staff was friendly and helpful, and overall we had a very pleasant stay.

If you are staying at the High Country Motor Lodge, there is no reason to leave. The room, beautiful pool, cabanas, hot tub, restaurant, game room was delightful. The staff was super friendly and so nice. The property is beautiful. The beds super comfy and coffee in the rooms soooo good. The fire pits were lite in the morning for breakfast and night for dinner. You are going to love it.

Honestly, one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The vibe is simply cool. But also relaxed and friendly. Decoration is beautiful. Loved the fire pits everywhere. The general store is just perfect and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. Great coffee and food. We used the laundry room a lot and everything worked perfectly. Also love that we could park the car right next to our door. I'm seriously obsessed with this hotel experience and will definitely come back. Also, I went to a gym that's just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Target is super close as well. Location is perfect. I felt like we were getting the "elevated route 66 experience". The only thing I didn't like is that the walls were a bit thin and I could hear people in other rooms. Fortunately, the hotel wasn't full, so this only happened on the first night. But it's important to mention, because in fuller months, it could be an issue for light sleepers.

Superb

Loved the bar area that flowed into the outside. The fire-pits were great as well for morning coffee. I was disappointed in check in as I arrived early and was traveling alone. I understand they can’t always accomplish but the front desk was not helpful or friendly.

Quaint boutique, hotel, extremely comfortable bed, large pool, nice fire pits

Convenient spot. Train noise at night. Super expensive for food and adult drinks- $20 for a glass of wine! $20 for a small plate sized appetizer of shrimp that was overcooked. Many other places close by to get food. Bed and pillows comfy. Good shower. Nice courtyard area although when we were there other guest’s children were loudly playing as if it was a playground.

The courtyard smelled like dog pee. Very unpleasant walking from room to restaurant area.

Guest services were very responsive and understanding. The pool, spa and amenities are top notch. Would stay here again for sure!

A great family stay.Close by downtown and NAU.The fire pits were great.nice swimming pool and hottub as well.Worth every dime.
