HI Hyannis Hostel

The location is fantastic, just by the main street leading to Kalmus beach and close to the harbor. The house itself is incredibly adorable and I love the story that it was given to HI by a family. The staff were very nice and the kitchen is well equipped and there's free coffee and tea, which is a huge plus! The common areas are lovely and there are different artsy activities to do - a guitar, books, make your own postcard, paint your own rock, etc. That was so lovely. The interior decor is very pretty. The dorm I was in was spacious and cute and overlooked the harbor. The AC was working well and the temperature was just right. The bathrooms were fine and clean. It was easy to navigate around Hyannis and local beaches from the hostel.

I cannot think of one thing.

My go-to hotel on Cape! Facilities are always excellent and rooms very clean. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat; main Street and two beaches within walking distance.

Location, facilities, cleanliness, quietness! Not enough wall hooks, hangers in double rooms, impossible to open the window.

Friendly staff, terrific location Not hostel’s fault, but same Dormitory guest constantly in and out of room six or 8 times late night, another guest had some 3:30 a.m. phone calls !!

The location is prime! Across from the harbor, you can’t have a better view and close to downtown. The price was low and the kitchen is fully equipped. The room I stayed in was very small for three bunkbeds. So, there was no room for me to place my luggage due to other people’s luggage already in the room. The bathroom is large but the shower curtain is half the size of the shower, so everything gets wet!

Cece and other guy (I think David) are doing very good job at reception.

We loved our stay at the Hyannis hostel, it was the best value and location for our needs. We were right in the middle of everything, walkable to everything - restaurants, the water, even the ferry to Nantucket. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

The staff messed up which bed I was going to stay at. Someone else had the bed I was sleeping in and just moved my stuff.

The shared room and the very Clean Kitchen. I have the lights direct in my eyes in my bed but it is one of a dozen.

I didn't eat breakfast. The location was superior. Astonished it was across the street from ferries.

It was a very good and clean hostel! Quiet on late night. Maybe stuff being a bit more friendly. They were too cold

The price is good!

This hostel is in the perfect location, close to lots of cute restaurants and coffee shops. I appreciated the parking, how flexible the check in was, and how clean the rooms were. I would stay here again any time! Heads-up, I did not see any lockers and also no curtains on the bunk beds, but that is more of a personal preference than a true dislike - still a great hostel!
