Reviews
-
The spacious rooms. The elevators did not work.
-
Elevators don’t work well at all. Almost up to a 20 minute wait at busy times. We also were only on the 5th floor so I imagine it was only worse for people on higher floors.
-
I know they’re going through major maintenance. But some things like a fridge would have been nice. Also, avoid weekend check in.

Clean and spacious room.

We had a pleasant stay. Leann at help desk went out of her way to help us. Really appreciate her help.
-
Beautiful room, shower head didn’t work and the shower didn’t drain. Nice looking pools, cold not heated and 2 out of the 4 were closed. WiFi kept cutting out, tv reception was spotty in the casino. You can save money with a player club card which is free but took the 3rd staff member to tell us that. 1/2 the restraints are closed or never open.

The kiosk could print 2 cards. Keep cards handy as elevators need it. So security is good. Keep in mind, ppl are drinking & smoking at the casino. Uncomfortable if you are with kids. Key dropoff right outside the elevators so checkout is easy too. I wanted to extend checkout. They made me call customer support at 6am. Who told me no. So maybe do it when you checkin

We enjoyed our stay! Even won a few extra bucks!!
-
The hallway and elevator was just a little hot
-
Room was a nice size. Make sure you stay in the Ipanema tower, those are the updated rooms. My only issue is that there is no real good food options. Breakfast buffet was not good. Mexican restaurant was okay. If you’re looking to come down from your room and have a nice meal, this isn’t the place for you. Otherwise, it was a decent stay.

The elevators was a problem.
-
Reserved a nice room and they just stuck me in a lesser room
-
The renovated side was good. Very clean. Will stay again.
-
The property was very well maintained but, very empty. The food court food was mostly inedible. The staff was dreadful. They were visibly miserable. They were non-responsive and negative. One of the lifeguards was observed spitting on the pool deck. The hot tub was freezing. The night manager Luis was just strait rude and aggressive. The bright spot was Trevor, he was amazing and deserves a promotion. He was as very respectful and responsive. Besides him, I have never experienced such rudeness from staff in my 40 years of national and international travel. Shocking.

The only thing I didnt like was I thought the hair dressing would be available for me to use for my wedding and I had to go elsewhere for it. They also didnt have a steamer for my wedding dress.

I hadn't been to the Rio in a couple years it was nice to see that all the rooms were upgraded the beds were so comfortable the rooms were clean very beautiful
-
Our room was beautiful and very large. We were in the Ipenema tower which has been renovated. We really liked the dining choices in the hotel. If you have time the WOW show is a must see !
-
I loved everything about the stay. The rooms were very nice and spacious. You could sleep without being awakened by noise and when we couldn't sleep, we could go downstairs to the casino
