The location was excellent, and the rooftop pool was lovely. But I think my favourite part was the unexpected excitement of never knowing how much money the hotel might try to take from us next. Nothing quite adds to a relaxing holiday in Los Angeles like checking your bank account each morning to see whether another enormous payment has disappeared. It certainly kept us on our toes! The room was nice too, although admittedly it was difficult to fully appreciate it while wondering whether we could still afford the rest of our holiday. Where to start? We had to change rooms because various things in our original room simply didn’t work. When we moved, some of our belongings were left behind. We repeatedly asked staff to have them returned to us and were assured they would be brought to our new room. They never arrived. Unfortunately, this fitted the general theme of our stay: staff simply did not seem to listen. We found ourselves explaining the same problems repeatedly, particularly when it came to the serious issues with payments being taken from our account. Then there were the completely unexpected and excessive charges. There is nothing quite like being thousands of miles from home and discovering huge amounts of money have been taken from your account, with further payment attempts being made, while trying to get someone to actually listen and sort it out. The money was needed for our holiday and household bills back home, so this was far more than a minor inconvenience. We also weren't impressed by being charged a resort fee after being told before arrival that use of the rooftop pool was complimentary. Apparently “complimentary” has a rather flexible meaning here. The hotel itself could have been a lovely part of our Los Angeles trip. Instead, the poor communication, room problems, missing belongings and payment nightmare completely overshadowed it. We eventually recovered money after weeks of chasing, but guests really shouldn’t have to fight this hard to get their own money back. If you enjoy spending your holiday repeatedly checking your bank account, chasing staff and wondering whether anyone has actually listened to a word you’ve said, this may well be the hotel experience for you.

Very friendly and well located hotel in HOLLYWOOD

Modern hotel, super clean room. Loved the location, the staff were super friendly and helpful. We felt safe in the neighborhood and it was walking distance to most places we were interested in seeing, lots of nearby nice restaurants and stores to grab stuff from. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced too. Our bathroom/shower tub also leaked a little when we used it and we had to put towels on the floor so that’s a plumbing issue that should be rectified, wasn’t such a big deal since our stay was short but would have been really inconvenient if we were staying for longer.

Breakfast was good, great coffee. However we were not well attended by the waiter. He wasn't nice, didn't offer water, had to flag down for both water and more coffee, then we had to walk up to pay. It was not busy. Just uninterested. Other staff behind bar and others were very kind.

Great location, clean rooms and stylish. Super friendly staff. Nice simple but decent breakfast variety. Some rooms are facing the club next door, which means you’re hearing every song that’s playing and DJ announcement as the windows aren’t triple glazed. Great if you’re pre-gaming, not great if you’re trying to sleep though!

Hotel was nice, good location. There is a night club next door, you will get no sleep Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights.

An excellent place to stay for a concert in town. The surrounding areas and the rooms were very clean, the staff were very polite and helpful. It had an elegant feel with the art of simplicity. Walking distance to many great restaurants. I would most definitely stay here again.

Great interiors and eye for detail

Worst hotel ever. It was a Sunday night and the nightclub next door was shaking the room until 3am and I had to be up at 4am for a flight for work. Do not stay here. Even on a random night, the club is extremely loud. Staff is nice and the bartenders.
