Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Maumee - Toledo

We prepaid extra for a king suite room, when we checked in, we were told all the king rooms were taken, so only double rooms were available. The desk clerk never apologized, never offered a refund of the difference in price. did not care. The room was ok for half the price, but the price we paid was way to much. The breakfast was minimal, It seemed they tried to do everything the cheapest way possible. Powered eggs, biscuits and gravy, and lots of carbs. Very disappointing, we left hungry. I would not recommend this hotel!

Location Bathroom was not good

Front desk receptionist came down to the room and made up the bed and cleaned the bathroom.

one use of the toilet and it over-flowed. No staff to fix it. I was handed a plunger and told to 'go for it' was told that '220 has been giving them trouble' no offer of compensation. also, doors don't close/ latch by themselves. also breakfast was insufficient for number of guests. bad scene.

The room could of been cleaner.

The carpet in the room has not been vacuumed in a while. The bathtub floor was stained black. There were several loose tiles in the bathroom floor. Staff was rude. We were never told about breakfast hours, pool usage, etc.. Room key also was turned off when we still had close to two hours before checkout.

THEN after that I went down to the vending machines to get a water so I could take my medicine before going to sleep AND Yup, the vending machine were broken ‍♀️ I then went to the front desk and asked the Rep if it was a courtesy water or small drink that I could have or even buy so I could take my meds AND SHE TOLD ME NO.... THAT THERE'S NOTHING SHE COULD HELP ME WITH‼️ This Stay Was Absolutely HORRIBLE EVERYTHING‼️ I Usually Stay Here Everytime I Come Home To Visit... The breakfast was fine, area was clean. First room we walked into reeked of smoke and we asked for another one that smelled better. The next room’s bathroom floor looked filthy with long black hair everywhere. Our shoes literally were sticking to the floor. The tub had a mat on the floor of the tub and it was filthy. No drain stop so there was a piece of tissue in the drain, I removed it to find a wad of hair stuck in there. I managed to wash the floor with a clear plastic bag on my hand. I left the bathroom cleaner then when we got there. Needless to say I couldn’t stomach a shower. My husband and son put a towel on the floor of the tub so their feet wouldn’t touch the floor of the tub. I could go on and on. I almost felt tricked into staying there because the ratings said it was a nice place. I’m just glad we didn’t have little children who would take baths in there. I kept my shoes on so my feet wouldn’t touch the floor. Horrible.

Nice larger suite and very comfortable. Decent breakfast.

Property was poorly maintained and dirty. Decided to not stay at the property and had to fight to get a refund.

Breakfast is pathetic...one towel...just needs to be vamped...I used to work in this industry....not good at all

The room overall was clean, though it had a different odor when I entered - so I turned the fan on which helped. The bathroom had a dead bug in it by the door which was reassuring it was dead. When I used the shower this morning. The shampoo dispenser was empty and the body wash wasn’t even attached to the wall - hard to know to get a refill on shampoo when I am in the shower to wash my hair. The refrigerator was so loud with its humming/running and upon closer look it needs to be defrosted. I have stayed at this hotel several times but never in this room so I was disappointed Maybe I need to request a specific room. I left early enough that breakfast wasn’t ready. No one was at the front desk when I left so I dropped my key in the container and the. Received a text message reminding me of check out time - odd since I responded that I left my key in the container on the counter. Check in staff is always so friendly. I probably will stay again but will check options first.

We returned away in the middle of the night because while it stared it was a “pet friendly” hotel, they excepted it only to service its with papers, leaving us stranded with a small child to have to drive an additional eight hours through the night to reach our destination. We canceled our return trip with this hotel for obvious reasons but they still would allow our payment to be refunded.

Spoke to morning manager who assured me there would be compensation coming & she would call me. Still waiting for the call days later...

Hotel wasn't clean. Very poor breakfast.

Not enough towels for a two night stay.

The place is understaffed and it showed.
