What is the purpose of a reservation if the hotel cannot guarantee it? It was later when I arrived so not much chance to book another room. Got to the room and found that the outer window was cracked and had a hole in it. The room was clean and provided a night's rest. Outside, the grounds were well lighted and had several security cameras.

Do not, do not, do not book a reservation at this hotel. Red Roof overbooked and when we got to the hotel, after a long flight, we learned it had overbooked and we had no reservation. We had our reservation made 2 months in advance! Red Roof notified Expedia that they overbooked and told Expedia to notify us (the guests). Expedia failed to notify us as soon as they knew, they waited until the day of to send an email. Except, when email from Expedia was sent, we were in the air heading to our destination and did not get the notice. Instead, after we arrived at Red Roof we had to arrange different accommodations through Expedia. I DO NOT recommend this hotel and I do not recommend Expedia for reservations. And the cake topper was - while waiting for Expedia to find us a different hotel, a giant roach walked across the room. That roach was at least 2 inches long. The hotel clerk just stepped on it, swept him up, and dumped it in a trash can, like it was a routine occurence. Bad place.

AC kept flooding the room and they did nothing about it. The AC also did not get the room cold. Also had several flies in the room and we woke up to roaches in the bathroom everyday.

The only person working there was rude, the hotel was absolutely filthy. The only furniture in the room beside the bed was a broken dirty office chair. It hadn’t been cleaned in years. The bed covers were really dirty. The sheets looked like someone had used it as toilet paper if you get my meaning. The pillow cases were stained with sweat. The bathroom walls, tub and toilet needed a good scrubbing. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom because the toilet paper holder was broken. I went down and asked for another room that was clean. They said that they didn’t have anything available. I told them about the sheets, they handed me a “clean set”. I was not able to get a refund or I would have left. My sister and I ended up using the new fitted sheet to wrap the pillows and lay on the flat sheet. We slept fully clothed with our shoes on so we wouldn’t have to step on the floor in bare feet or socks. The person in the next room had a dog that barked all night. Around 1:00 am 4 police officers were beating on the door next door.

Toilet stopped up and the office told me I had to wait until morning to receive a plunger to unclog the toilet myself, they had no other room to offer me nor did I have another room to use restroom in .When housekeeping came at 10am a hour before check out they never brought me a plugger at 11am which is check out is when the owner of the property had them bring me a plugger to use the restroom before I checked out .

This was the worst hotel we ever visited. The parking was not secured. The hotel look like some run down apartments. The roaches met us at the door. The door looked like some has been kicking it in. I did not feel safe at all. We asked for a refund and gave us the run around. We got a hotel up the street ( Memory Lane) great service. We drove over 800 miles for my husband's brother funeral. This was hard because we were in Memphis a week ago. And to turn around and come back. We just wanted to rest. It was already hard because his other brother just died 2 years the date. We are very disappointed.
