We were extremely pleased with finding the Renaissance Inn. Location was awesome, convenient access to UMN campus. Enjoyed the nearby patio/restaurant....enjoyed it more after the band left. (Simply too loud) Parking was amazing! Breakfast was amazing. Staff was wonderful. The TV on the stand does not really swivel so we had to be especially careful when spinning it between the sofa and the bed. The toilet in Room 218 needs to have the bolts to the floor tightened. The top drawer of the dresser falls open and I ended up bumping my leg into it during the night. These things are minor....just wanted to share.

General Manager, Mike, was super helpful during our check-in and was able to straighten out a booking complication. He was welcoming and friendly and incredibly cutomer-focused. We really appreciated his help and attention. The only drawback of our stay was that we had asked for housekeeping and they didn't show up. When we asked for towels and coffee they were delivered to the room (we were out) and just dropped in the room - trash wasn't taken out and old towels were not removed. Other than that our stay was fine. The location of the hotel is in a very walkable part of town.

We have always enjoyed our stays at a Residence Inn and the one in Minneapolis didn't disappoint. The restaurant and bar in the attached Renaissance Inn was excellent. Thank you!!

Helpful staff. Spacious room. Convenient location. Breakfast was just ok.

Everything was great for the price paid. No complaints! Would stay there again

Mattresses were comfortable but the pullout couch was not comfortable at all. The couch itself was not that comfortable to sit on and watch TV.

Parking was a bit of a mess because there was a major wedding event clogging the surface level parking spots and blocking the underground area. However it was very easy to access everything else in the area! Beautiful location. Fun area. And my kids rated the breakfast 10/10! The staff were awesome and kind. And the egg white frittata was delicious!

The rooms could use some sprucing up. They are adequate but they are a little musty and have signs of wear such as cracked tiles in the bathroom. The staff are fine although you rarely see the same person twice.

Freezing cold pool. Maid service once in 10 days. Had to often go beg for extra things like garbage bags, towels, etc. Sirens, gun shots, and a pipe bomb (yup, you read that right) all throughout our stay. The pics online had the restaurant and firepit appear like it was part of this hotel, but it’s the neighboring one and not welcoming to us. $18+ to park a day as an “extended stay”, which is crazy because that should be for non-extended stays. The breakfast was not a large offering.
