Days Inn by Wyndham Monterey Downtown

The location was next to a Dennys if you need a variety of food late night, two gas stations nearby to gas up for the day, and a bakery across the street. Great microwave and fridge. Loved the coffee and juices in the lobby. And good juices too, not just soda for once. Sinks never drained. When brushing your teeth, you have to pause in between spitting otherwise you'll see every crumb of food you've eaten that day. Toilet flush from hell. You could lose an entire arm when flushing the toilet for how loud and violent it is. It sounds like a vacuum they use for the sewers. Kids had to pee, put the seat down, run out the bathroom while I go in and ignite the soul sucking flush. Bed pillows were a little strange. There were 6 tiny pillows total. 3 on each bed in individual pillow cases. I don't know why. So the middle pillow between me and my spouse is just in the way. Maybe a room for the 7 dwarfs perhaps? Also the TV remote felt uncleaned, had a weird texture. Like a rubbery nasty feeling. Had to wash my hands immediately. Not too much of an ocean view though. More like through all the houses and trees the ocean is in that view. Overall, just needs more care in general for a major corporation.

Not much to say. It was a holiday weekend so way too overpriced for a budget hotel.

Spacious rooms and clean, close to restaurants

We enjoyed our stay here. Nice, clean, well-sized bedroom. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Felt completely safe and easy walk into Monterey. Would happily recommend.

We’ve stayed here twice now and have had a great experience both times! The updated rooms are nice and the beds are super comfortable. The front desk staff is always friendly, and we love that parking is free and we’ve never had an issue finding a spot. It’s also within a very easy walk of lots of restaurants, which is super convenient. Definitely a place we’d stay again!

Very clean. Guy at front desk was friendly. Will definitely be back! Only downside is the parking get full pretty fast.

They did not have breakfast. They only have coffee and a coffee wasn't even good. Also couldn't get more blankets at night or are you going to change your sheets.

Super dirty

Location was great, couple for walking distance to restaurants No breakfast, and coffee available in the lobby at 8AM, not prior. That is late when you are on vacation and trying to get to attractions. They need to do better cleaning for the showers.

After checking out the staff refused to give me the copy of my bill for the stay at there place. This is not acceptable since you suppose to receive a copy of your bill.
