Mariposa Inn & Suites

The location was wonderful. I had a two night stay and was not able use the shower it was clogged…I let the staff know and they never fixed it. The hot tub inside my room was filled with hair like someone shaved and left the hair in there.Lucky for me I was in a wedding so I only slept there and dressed in the brides room which was at another hotel. The groom of the wedding also stayed here and had the same problem in his room…I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here.

The location The bed was hard as a rock, the jetted tub in the room was old and peeling so we couldn’t use it. My cousin had a suite one floor up and shower was clogged and they would not come fix it and her tub had hair shavings in it

Location close to highway and shopping/farmers market. Lots of free parking during the day. Spacious room. Quiet to sleep unless there's someone in room above you. The main road right by it does not let you make a U turn so had to go some way to get back on the main road if you wanted to go in opposite direction. Parking limited in the evening. Can hear the people in room above ours walking around on 2nd day so that was bothersome. Need to keep up with pest control because there was a giant spider with web in the ceiling. Breakfast as other people have said had no protein, only carbs.

The room itself was clean with cable TV, a fireplace, a microwave and fridge and a safe. Nice bathroom setup and towels were even folded into a swan. Only complaint is the shower water pressure was a bit low but the shower head had settings to help with that. The pool was unfortunately closed for repairs during the time of my visit. Nothing really to complain about i would stay here again. i did see a rat along the fence outside during one of the nights there so hopefully those arent in any of the rooms as i saw no signs of them anywhere in ours.

The property was nice but I'd skip the "breakfast".

Not much I was not informed the pool and hot tub were closed, despite getting emails about my coming up trip to the hotel. It was expensive and no facilities. Breakfast sucked. I was advised when I arrived at 8pm that I could cancel where am I going to find another place at that hour after a tiring drive. I was offered $50 refund for the 3 night stay. Not good enough. Poor guest service. Unfriendly night clerk. Room had a fireplace that did not work.

I reserved a few townhouses for me & my large family. They were very impressed. No other hotels have an origami butterfly on their toilet paper. Staying in a two story hotel room was certainly unique & fun. It provided extra privacy and the extra space that we needed. It was wonderful. The fireplace was a romantic bonus. My only suggestion, is cosmetic. Some of the bathrooms & furniture needs a little extra love. I will definitely come back again & again!

Hotel has a very handy location. Grounds are beautiful. Pool was being renovated. Room was nice but all service was terrible. After two days we asked for clean linens but none arrived . We had to ask again and the front desk guy finally brought them in at night. After three days, we asked for our room to be cleaned but nothing happened. It felt like once you checked in, you were on your own.

Location was convenient to the Jazz Festival and DT Monterey. Filthy bathroom. Chewed gum in the shower. Soap appears to be the choice instead of body lotion in both dispensers. The breakfast buffet is joke. Brown bananas. It goes down from there.

The rooms were nice Counter with sink very low ( but I’m tall)

Disappointing

I liked that it was near a little shopping center that had a market. The pool was closed. The upstairs in the two story room has no air conditioning, and it was very hot. The hotel didn’t have early check-in, yet there were no other cars/guests at the property.

WiFi and cell reception were extremely spotty. Had a hard time connecting to WiFi and would get booted off continually. Beds were pretty hard and not very comfortable. Location was good and ease of check in was good. Parking was easy.

Aside from our main complaint, if you are looking forward to a breakfast that consists mainly of carbohydrates (i.e. toast, oatmeal, cereal packs, bagels, muffins) then you’ll be good to go. However, for those who are dairy free and/or gluten free, this breakfast will disappoint.
