The hotel was an absolute dump. It doesn’t seem that there is any kind of management at all. The room was clean but that was the only thing that the property had going for it.
-
Faucet in bathroom was broken, chair in room was broken. Very old property, was not maintained at all. Breakfast was not good and even out of those few things they ran out of it, no fruits, no spoons. Overall very poor experience. I don't know how they are in Whidham Frenchies.

The owners/managers of this hotel are most likely slowly updating. The hotel room had a new floor. Bedspreads were dated, and the room smelled like bleach, so we know it had been cleaned before our arrival. We booked through Expedia, which said it was located in Glenwood Springs. It’s actually in New Castle, which is approximately 15 miles west of Glenwood Springs.

I like the hot tub and pool area. The breakfast was convenient and helped with costs. The property is a little dated and could definitely use a nice coat of paint and some updating. Otherwise the room was clean and met our needs.

They did not have enough bedding for my son's pull out couch so they offered an extra comforter for a pillow replacement. Good times. Guy at front desk was not bothered by this at all. He said, "we're all sold out so it is what it is". Could have been a language barrier but I sure found it to be rude. Won't go back.

Hard beds, water didn’t drain properly in sink, security issue

The hotel was run down . The manager said he would talk to the housekeeping cause she came in the room and left my door open and we was not there with all our stuff in the room. The breakfast is eggs and sausage and the coffee is horrible. The room smelled like old and musty. If you dont have to stay here I would not.

The property is in poor condition. Our room had to be aired out due to cigarette smell. I advised the front desk and they seemed to shrug it off and did not offer another room. The landscaping is overgrown, there are cob webs in corners, missing trim, water damage and other signs of low maintenance. There is a musty smell in the building.

We have stayed at this property a few times as it is convenient for our activities. The property is aging and could use an update.

clean room

Not a Wyndham people but there’s no internet service (att) in the entire city. It’s a black hole. Keep this in mind.

Fine deal for what we needed it for - a short stay. Friendly front desk.

had to do a last minute cancelation we were stuck on the highway to new castle. called to let them know. they had a fee, reasonable ik, we were staying one night and they wanted us to pay for a night plus tax. I called and asked if there was any way to wave the fee, was told no not at all. My partner called 3 minutes later and the same guy picked up, she literally said that exact thing I did and the guy suddenly was very happy to wave the fee and was much more up-beat talking to her than to me. we did arrive at the hotel the next day to check it out and It was clean so thats a plus, given the experience with the staff we probably won't return.

I like how the water for the shower was hot instantly. Breakfast was great also

Pool area needs some organization, but water temperature was great. Second day, hot breakfast section wasn't refilled. Quiet room, beds were comfortable.
-
The room was clean, staff were helpful. Free breakfast was not good at all. When we came down for breakfast, there were no eggs, just a couple of pieces of sausage, and there were 2 pancakes left and they were hard as a rock. We were there for probably 30 minutes and no one came in and checked on it.
-
The laundry machine stole my money and the ice machine was broken.
-
The room was not very up to date, the only drapes were black out and the room was next to a busy gas station. The bead spread had stains on it and the bathroom walls were rotting away around the shower. I would not book this hotel again.

I've heard there are good affordable hotels in Silt which is near New Castle. Would recommend trying there instead.

Check in was easy. And the employee was very helpful when I needed help with the TV that wasn’t working. But the building is very outdated. Old pillows, towels, television. Not at all maintained on the outside. Also, the first thing you smell when you walk into the building is chlorine from the pool. A lot of the windows that were visible to me had a wooden pole to lock, or keep from being open from the outside. The bedroom window did not have an extra curtain to allow in sunlight without letting the people walking by to see into the bedroom. So it was either open the window and let everybody see in to the bedroom, or keep the blackout curtain closed for privacy. Would not stay again.
