Overall we had a good experience at Arlo. It started out a little rough because the first room we were assigned had springs in the mattress that you could hear and feel when you sat down on it. The staff kindly found us another room. Also, the first room was a city view room which had the bed pushed up against the wall so you couldn’t walk around the bed on both sides. They said that was typical for that type of room. The room they switched us to still had a good city view and you could walk around the bed, which we prefer. Good location, clean, lobby area very nicely decorated.

Lovely stay at Arlo midtown hotel! We booked the city king room and had an amazing view. Big thank you to Nicki for being so friendly and welcoming - she was so lovely about our engagement news this weekend and it was really appreciated! Rooftop bar is nice to have a drink in too (although expect loud pop music if that’s not your thing!!). The hotel is in a great location close to Times Square and there are lots of great food places nearby. Everything was very clean and kept pristine. Perhaps the lack of kettle/coffee making facilities in the room. The room is small and compact but it’s perfectly fine if you’re not spending too much time in the hotel. Expensive but similar price to other hotels in NYC

First the good: Customer service was excellent, highly recommend. Folks were kind and helpful, personable and dealing with a high volume and if they were stressed they didn’t show it. Next, the shower. Top 3 best showers of my life. The water pressure was out. of. this.world! Amazing. I miss it. Next the not so good. The room was sadly a little dumpy, and not clean. I found hairs in the sheets of the bed, a hair on the toilet lid and pieces of the plastic from clothing tags on the floor. The bed was also hard and a little lumpy. I didn’t enjoy it and didn’t find it comparable to the amazing shower. Overall the location was great and the positives outweighed the negatives for me.

Convenient location, great hotel amenities for business travel (gym, coffee shop, places to work), and nice room size. Really impressive given the affordable price. Would def stay again!

I spent a lot of time reading reviews searching for a great hotel in Times Square, so I'm happy to write one on behalf of Arlo. The stay was excellent, the hotel has a great vibe. Excellent location, easily walkable to both MSG/Penn Station and Times Square. The food was excellent at the restaurant and the cafe. Rooftop deck was awesome! The staff was super helpful and friendly. It seems silly to recommend a hotel over great elevators but this was a perk for us after previously having stayed up the street at a big name hotel and having to wait for up to 10 PACKED elevators before being able to get on. There are 5 elevators and we never waited for more than a minute. I will definitely stay there again.

Really pretty hotel right next to Port Authority, Times Square and a short walk to Penn Station. The shower head could have been cleaned more and there was specks of dust from the inside door of the bathroom but other than minor dust that you’d find in any other hotel, everything was perfect and very clean. The bedding was comfortable too and very clean and soft. They give you 2 waters as well and when I asked downstairs for more, the front desk girl gave me more which was very kind. It’s very aesthetically pleasing if you vlog or take pictures for socials. The breakfast was my favorite and add it when you book- I saved so much money by adding breakfast beforehand! They also let me borrow the umbrella that was in the room for free-I never had that accommodation in a hotel stay before. Overall, I would book again because it’s so convenient location wise and the breakfast was delicious! Their bath products were also very clean smelling and didn’t irritate my skin which was a big plus! The room was also spacious for midtown. The only thing I’ll say is to bring toothpaste and a toothbrush because they didn’t have any in the bathroom.
