Very convenient location

The air conditioner doesn't work well too.

All in all The Hotel was totally worth it. The staff are all very nice people and they were able to gave me early checked in and later checked out.

Not much Room had bed begs and smelled of mold and wet dog.

Very spacious room, especially by New York standards. Everything was clean and well kept. Check-in was fast despite what seemed like a long line and the woman at reception was terrific. Add in a very convenient location and it all made for a very enjoyable stay.

I loved the location. Very convenient. Bathroom. It was a little too old and rugged. Bathtub had no stopper and I could see some life inside which scared the bejesus out of me. Toilet seat looked like it's seen one too many days for the price and status of the place. Room Phone was not working. Upon arrival no assistance with my bags, had to haul them in and out of my room by myself and they were not lightweight. And i was a bit under the weather. Dropped a tear at some point. The hotel I checked out of assisted me all the way. But i wanted to experience Hyatt NYC. I Still had to pay for storage after check out since my flight was at night. At least the courtesy for bags should be attached to room for those who have late flights.

Nice hotel

Rooms were very clean and comfortable beds. Air conditioning was very good and staff are very friendly and helpful. We had nice coffee and snacks drinks in coffee shop 15dollars complementary spend per day. Very handy to central station and taxis easily accessed..

The room was impressively spacious, featuring a remarkably comfortable bed, a generous bathroom, and plenty of extra pillows and towels. The location couldn't have been better. It was situated in a great neighborhood within walking distance of tons of excellent food spots, and just steps from the bus and subway for effortless transit around the city. The lighting throughout the hotel left a lot to be desired. The lobby felt perpetually gloomy and underlit, akin to a cloudy day, and the main bedroom area was far too dim on its own unless every single light was switched on. Fortunately, the bathroom lighting was bright and spot-on, but the rest of the property suffered from a distinctly dark, moody atmosphere.

The hotel location is fabulous and very central; close to restaurants, shops, transportation and tourist attractions. The downside is that is very busy because of being located near the UN building… The rooms are not very nice; very run down…

Cons: Substandard service and maintenance. 1. Worst of all, maintenance is shoddy a. Bathroom had 18” of mold near the ceiling. b. Shower faucet handle was loose and floppy c. Tub stopper did not hold water when “closed.”. The “closed” tub would drain in 5 minutes. I called for this to be addressed but it was not fixed. d. The shower water accumulated to 3” deep even when the drain is “open.” e, Picture frame in bathroom was badly broken. I took a video to show the front desk and manager. They said they didn’t need it. They claimed maintenance should notice and fix all these things when they went up. Well, if they (or housekeeping) were that observant, these wouldn’t have been problems in the first place. 2. At check in, was promised a call when the room was ready. It never came. 3. The luggage storage staff is unfriendly and doesn’t make guests comfortable leaving luggage with them. They charge $4/item “to be distributed with the bell staff” for storing luggage on check out. Obviously people aren’t tipping. Maybe they would if service was not surly. I found out later this Hyatt is only rated 3 stars on Google. Now I know why.

Breakfast was good. But, it costed $120 for 2 of us.
