My wife and I decided to book with Hilton for our 50th Anniversary trip. We were very disappointed with the state of our room and the facility. The room issues started at the door to the room. Door did not close or open properly. Upon entering the room the odor was overwhelming. It smelled very bad similiar to mold. When using the shower water ran out onto the floor in the bathroom and under the door to the room entrance. This created a very dangerous situation for both my wife and myself. My wife has 3 joint replacements and I am a 2 time cancer survivor. This was the reason we booked an accessible room. Overall the room seemed dirty. Sheets did not fit the bed properly. We only had 2 towels in the room initially. Overall it just appeared as though the room was not cleaned nor was it prepped for guests. Throughout the entire stay the facility only had one operational elevator and it was filthy and was obvious maintenance was lacking. This was obvious as soon as you got on the elevator. Doors slammed when closing, door tracks were absolutely filthy, lights flashed as the unit operated, door edges were frayed, and flooring in the unit was absolutely nasty. I’m sure your elevators are inspected but they did not present as though they were maintained to any of the guests that rode that elevator with my wife and I. I really do not think I could book another vacation with a Hilton property. One last item….on the day of our departure we had no hot water for our morning showers.

Everything was great! The entire hotel area was always clean. The staff was helpful when needed. We had absolutely no issues and we will be back again!

The pool and bar area was great. The bar tender was great. However, there was only one working elevator and our room was not functional due to poor closet & drawer space. Tub water leaked, no drain cover, & the carpets were dirty.Air conditioner didn't work properly.

They need to update the property (new carpet, pest control and fix the dang elevator). Great location and great pool!

Location 2 Elevators and 1 was out of order the entire time we were there (Saturday-Wednesday)

Room was filthy. Grounds were filthy. 1 person at front desk not nearly enough staff. 1 elevator broken took forever, mainly took stairs. Our room had blood spatter on the wall near the door and in the room under the sink. Toilet broke while we were there and would not flush. Bathtub did not drain for hours. Housekeeping was rude and smelled like marijuana. Do not recommend staying here other than location was nice and the view was nice.

Front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and competent. Room was immaculate and the food at the poolside bar was really good. My husband, myself and our cat Ziggy thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I was overall pleased with Hilton Garden Inn but I do NOT recommend booking through Expedia. I booked and paid for a beachfront, balcony room. I got a balcony but my view was definitely not a gulf or beach view. I got a view of the condo next door. While Hilton Garden Inn could not accommodate us with another room they did give us free breakfast.

Location was good pool was good Broken elevator one that worked slow and sounded like it was about to break property run down needs a lot of work billing practices are terrible was overcharged for my stay still hoping they fix it overtime I turned around there was another charge hitting my card I will never stay there again and plan on talking to corporate customer care very disappointed

The location is fantastic—it’s right on the beach, which made it so convenient to enjoy the ocean without having to travel anywhere. The pool area was also really nice. It’s not a traditional swimming pool; it’s a lazy river with a tanning ledge and a smaller pool area at the front. This wasn’t an issue for us. There was plenty of seating all around the pool area, so finding a place to relax wasn’t a problem. At the time of our stay, only one elevator was working, but honestly, the wait times weren’t bad at all. Our room had a Keurig, which was a nice convenience. Breakfast isn’t complimentary, but it is available for purchase. Coffee is also provided throughout the day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The combination of the friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great beach access, nice pool area, and convenient location made this a place I would definitely consider staying at again when we’re back

Beach was perfect!

Drinks and food from the pool bar were excellent. Breakfast was hot and tasty with plenty of choices on the buffet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was a out of order elevator, but I hear renovations are in the works, so I'm looking forward to another stay here next year to check it out!

Well our bed don’t need to be changed and as long as there are 4 towels and wash clothes every other day is ok. And we were told when we checked in they didn’t clean every day but every other and we were there from Tuesday to Saturday and our room was never cleaned and had to ask three times for towels

One elevator was out of commission. The carpet in the hallways and working elevator was filthy. The landscape around the property was half dead. There were fire ants all over the pool area. The American, Alabama state flag and beach surf condition flags looked like they hadn't been changed in years.

Staff that checked us in was rude, the hotel needs some deep work. Nothing is really clean and updated. Only one of the 2 elevators worked. I booked a room for 5 people, which online said it had a couch included - get there and was told 3 grown women were expected to sleep in one double bed.
