The hotel is clean for its age. The room layouts are unique and cool but the bathroom/shower is super small and hard to use because of the door opening inward in such a small space. The breakfast seating area is so small that you won’t find a table and it feels so overcrowded in the lobby in the AM. Almost like a communal eating area. This hotel was one of four we booked during our two week vacation throughout Texas. This trip was planned around our two year olds love of water and sea creatures. We were looking forward to pool time with him but weren’t told the pool was out of service. We got there at 1 and I immediately shared my disappointment when I asked if we could use the pool until check in. I was advised I needed to pay 15$ extra if I wanted to check in before 3. We opted to go grab lunch and return later instead. When I got back another lady was working the check-in area and I shared with her my disappointment about not being forewarned about the pool. She then offered that I could cancel the reservations. I wish I had been advised of that at 1 so I could make other accommodation and not when I returned with a sleeping toddler.

After booking I called ahead and asked for a special requests and I was accommodated to the best of the front desk could do. Alex was very helpful and very sweet. The room was ok but some things looked like it could’ve been kept better or fixed. For example, the window covering was a pulled down shade that was broken. I’m not use to a nice hotel or hotel in general that doesn’t have curtains. Stains on the sofa that could have been cleaned and a darkened closet and dressing area with no lighting to see the safe or clothing even with all lights on. No robe or slippers like the Hyatt I remember. The pool was out of commission and the advertising says restaurant and bar but it’s really not. More like a gas station mini bar. Luckily I have only booked for one night by. Breakfast was highlight. We got there in time but seating was underwhelming due to a collage team was in for a game. I was scared I was gonna hear them up playing all night as I recalled having to deal with at another hotel but they were very respectful young men.

They told me the pool was open when I called before I booked. It had been closed for two weeks with no idea when it would be opened. They left a new girl solo who had not been trained in alcohol. None of their open products were dated. No dinner.

Pool was deactivated. We booked this hotel because of the pool for the kids.

The standing shower was dark and looked dirty. The door was hard to close so had to leave open when I took a shower. The shower area was real dark. The bed was very used and soft...i woke up with a back ache. The pool was filthy, we couldn't use it. Was very disappointed in this hotel.

the staff was friendly, the room was clean, the gym was good. the pool was not available, the cost somehow went up from $120 to $150, the rooms felt strangely uncomfortable.

We always enjoy staying here because of the cleanness and friendly staff. What we were disappointed this time was that the pool was closed for maintenance. We were not able to use the pool.
