Sonesta Suites Scottsdale Gainey Ranch

Super comfortable bed, lovely big room. Very clean. Pool was great. Parking was easy. Loved the easy exit to the car park from the elevators without going through reception every time. Great breakfast. Only that breakfast could've been on until 10am instead of just 7-9am

We ended up needing a hotel very last minute, late at night, due to a horrible Airbnb that we needed to get out of. We ended up at this hotel and it was absolutely perfect. We got two rooms for our family and the staff was helpful right from the start. The young man at checkin was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we even got chocolate chip cookies at 9:30 at night. We were able to get settled into our rooms fairly quickly and get all of our food that had been in our car put away into the refrigerator and freezer. When we got up in the morning, we were surprised by the free breakfast buffet. It was a full breakfast, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, and anything else you could want for breakfast. The dining staff were also very helpful and kind. The general manager, Shakira, came out while we were all eating and gave each of our 3 little ones a teddy bear which made our previous 24 hours of travel and chaos so much better and she was so kind to all of us. We are so happy we found this hotel at the last minute, it really turned our trip back around for us. Thank you!

Great clean place to stay. Love the bar, food, and pool.

Facilities were excellent. Wonderful options for breakfast. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Hot tub was not working. That was a letdown after hiking. Previous guest had set alarm for the clock in my room for 2:30 am and 3:30 am. Disappointing prank. Maybe housekeeping could check that before guests arrive?

The property is dated, but my room was clean and relatively quiet. The staff was very nice, and the location is great.

I took my family and we enjoyed a relaxing trip, we had good service and the hotel was clean which is a big plus. Very well maintained and good hospitality. I enjoyed our time there. Pool was amazing and food was great. Would recommend for anyone especially families.

Great staff and they upgraded us to a nicer suite for free, plus gave my kids 2 cute “Sonesta teddy bears” after we got there at 11:30pm for check in. Breakfast bar was free and actually a robust selection. It was quite tasty. Water with cucumber or strawberries or melon available at all times in the lobby. Pool area sooooo nice! They even had a scavenger hunt for kids! Perfect location, close to a Sprouts, good dining, coffee, etc… Very reasonable for a Scottsdale location. Not the place for Scottsdale “luxury,” but absolutely perfect for families and those seeking a really nice location at a reasonable price. Some wear and tear in the hallways and could use some upgrades in the actual rooms (for instance the bedroom with 2 queens had the nicer bathroom and bigger TV than the master bedroom) but still very nice, especially having kids.
