Clarion Inn Sheffield Muscle Shoals

This place needs to be shut down. It was filthy. There were parts of fleas in the bed. There was a dirty washcloth in the shower and the door to the outside did not close all the way. They were howling dogs or coyotes outside. The exterior looked like it had not been mowed in several weeks. We left immediately! The young man at the front desk was very nice.

Read the reviews before you book a room. It is definitely a low budget hotel. Rooms were very musty, shower floor was dirty, not all of the outlets and fixtures worked. Breakfast was okay but very basic. The elevator apparently has been broken for over a month, so that indicates the level of maintenance care throughout the building. Would not recommend.

Very nice and I felt comfortable like home

Room was half cleaned, broken desk, leaking toilet, and was about 80 degrees. It took about 2 hours for the room to cool down. Elevator was broken so we had to bring luggage and 6 month old up and down the fire escape. When I asked if a first floor room was available they said they were all dirty because housekeeping only comes once a week.

The Air-conditioning seemed to not be working in the hallways, and wasn't on in my room. After I turned it on, it took a while, but did cool the room. Also the elevator was inactive, and customers had to use the dirty stairwell to go to and from their rooms.

Comfortable

The front desk clerk was very helpful. The room was ok. The bed was comfortable. Water backed up in the shower and sick. WE had trouble getting our room because Booking.com had messed up and had not changed our reservation to the correct day.

Avoid this place it feels like a haunted hotel the lights flicker te hallways are hot and stuffy and the rooms a feel muggy I didn’t even stay there I would rather lose the money and go somewhere clean

This place was a Dump.

The shower was broke, no housekeeping. Had to take dirty towels to front counter to get new one. Being staying here about 3 times a year for last 4 years and the place continues to get worse and worse.

The bed was comfortable The ice machine was broken, the elevators were down, the room didn’t have a fridge, the hotel was was as well as the room being hard to cool down, and lastly it wasn’t very clean.

The shower curtain was ripped the floor floors were dirty, The main facility was also in terrible disorder. The elevator was broken, and the air conditioner was broke.

Pool did not have steps and my disabled husband did not know and could not get out of pool

The door lock was also broken and the walls had stains. The cook was vaping while refilling the breakfast, Ice machine was broken, and we did have a roach scurry out of the new toilet paper roll.

Very good

Elevators do not work and they have been down for a while as per the front desk. Wallpaper coming off the walls throughout the hotel. Water damage. TV did not work. Breakfast was very lame.

Passable

This property was probably once a magnificent facility, but those days are past. Broken elevator, wallpaper falling off mildewed walls, popcorn falling from the ceilings in the bathroom, a rancid smell coming out of the A/C, the tobacco dip cups in the stairwell you have to step around (since there's no running elevator), trash in the parking lot, even cold coffee at 7:45 am....... I hope ownership steps up or the franchise agreement with Clarion forces some much needed upgrades, because this place has become a dump.

The property was large. The staff very friendly. The restaurant was closed but there was one nearby.
