A bit old, but for being DT had minimal noise. Price could be lower for the cleanliness and quality imo.

The room said it would have a city view, but it the view was the back wall of the next building. The elevator seemed as though it was going break down, and there is not dedicated parking for the hotel. Not to mention the TV in the room did not have any channels to watch. Smh very disappointing stay.

Smells are foul.

Love the locations as we go for the Museums and sports bars!!

The staff is absolutely amazing. The rooms for being so old were very well kept. The facility itself is a wonderful historical landmark so be conscious of that dont expect it ti be like a newer hotel its vintage yet tasteful. Normally, you would expect an older smell from a building this cherished but surprisingly it was not. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend it to others. The walkable scale is above a 10 so many great spots to eat drink and enjoy St. PETE.

Bed was not comfortable and staff was unable to fix it, saying all beds were the same. Also baby roaches in the room. No hand towels or wash cloths provided. Mold/mildew around the AC and on the curtains.

Nice place, within walking distance of most of the local attractions. Elevator is a little scary (it is a historical building) but other than that, a pretty nice place.

The location is fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. This is a basic hotel with what you need but nothing more. I was disappointed to find that it has very little of its originality.

Parking was a little wonky, have to park a block up the road in a paid parking garage . Was supposed to be $16 bucks overnight but ended o being $40. Could have been user error so just do your research regarding the parking so you know what to do. Room was clean , bed comfortable . Staff nice and professional.

Anyway…I got to the room and at first it looked fine. But then I noticed there was too much noise coming from the street and I traced it back to a window behind a curtain that was actually open about 4 inches. I inspected all the windows because I knew I was going to have a hard time sleeping if I didn’t make sure they were all shut. One of the windows was actually coming off the frame, I inserted it back into the frame. Is no one inspecting these rooms? Went out for dinner and when I got back the room was so humid despite the AC being on a low temp. All night my body was sticky and I felt so uncomfortable. All 4 pillows on the bed were like massive mountains. There were two remote controls and one had dead batteries so I had to switch the batteries from one to the other. Again…is no one checking the rooms? It’s called quality control. This hotel is clearly underfunded and needs a revamp asap. So much potential. A welcoming and hospitality-driven front desk agent would’ve added a star to my experience.

Great old school charm, but showing its age. Tried to be clean, but had live roaches in the bathroom both nights I stayed.

It's not fancy but you can't beat the location or the price.

I've stayed at this place before and came back solely for the location. The elevator is extremely slow, the bathrooms are super small, not sure how an overweighted person would be able to use it. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. 1st night we could hear the guests in room beside us arguing because the front desk gave the key to a guest and they got into an occupied room. Very creepy. I understand that it's an old hotel, but it needs a badly make over. Didn't have bar soap either and they have toiletries in the bathroom such shower gel, but don't give you a wash cloth ... I wish this place could get some updates.

Cheap & decently clean. Smells musty. Very old rooms and bathrooms. Good location but dont take the elevator unless you want to be trapped! I was on the 3rd floor not only did it take forever but it literally was bouncing up and down when i was moving floors when I was going down and it stopped at floor 2. I waited and rang the emergency bell along with calling the emergency number with zero response after 5 minutes!!! I literally thought i was trapped!! When I told the front desk when it finally opened and I walked down the stairs they laughed at me like I was kidding. I get this is a historical hotel but you need some maintenance!!! If you want a place to crash after going out for cheap this is your place. I literally left at 7am when the sun came up as fast as I could because I couldn't be there anymore. Still waiting on my $30 deposit refund as nothing was done to the room!
