Island Sun Inn & Suites - Historic Venice & Beach Getaway

The room was comfortable with a nice access to the central courtyard. The room door was not very secure. Cars park directly in front of the front door. Sounds of other guests arriving later were easily heard through the doors and wall. Definitely rank as one of my worst nights in a motel room.

That the pool was right out our back door, it was very clean and peaceful, staff cleaned our room everyday, That the front door was in not such good shape

The bed was comfortable and had four pillows. The bathroom was small but adequate and clean. We didn't use the kitchen, but there was a stove, refrigerator, microwave. They were all older and mismatched, but clean. This was what would be called an efficiency, and there were utensils for cooking and eating. You can tell it's been remodeled, and seemed clean. The A/C worked well, although a little noisy, and there is a ceiling fan that worked and was quiet. The attached restaurant is 10 star awesome for breakfast! I'm trying to be fair here, because the place is very old, thus there is a very old, musty, smell when you walk into the lobby and the room. There was a dead cockroach on the floor, but anyone who lives in Florida knows that cockroaches are a way of life, and at least it was dead. The furniture is pretty old and worn, but it's passable. The VERY WORST part was the couch. It was absolutely disgusting...dirt and stains from who knows what. It looked like something someone took to the curb and they picked it up. I didn't want to sit on it. Honestly, if the couch had been better, it would have made a big difference. So, if you are looking for the Ritz, this isn't it. If you want a passable hotel for a cheap price and you aren't picky, try it out. You can park right outside of your door. It is not within an easy walking distance from downtown as it advertises, unless you want to walk a lot. Not a bad location though. It's right on 41, and you can drive to downtown in five minutes. All in all, it's passable, but no more than three stars.

How convenient it was to the beach The beds are very old and they make noise. Also, it doesn’t look like the photos besides that everything else is fine.

Great stay. Room was clean. There were roaches outside in laundry area but it's Florida so there are bugs. Was fine for 2 people to stay a week. We are from the area so we didn't use the pool but it is nice that Goodwill is across the street. Blu Bistro was just ok. Not really impressed.

I liked the designated parking space, the location of the pool area, My room was tended to daily, clean towels, bed made, trash picked up. They made sure I had enough toilet paper and coffee pods. I liked the little table in my room. The floor could have been cleaner but I was OK.

Room was simple.

Room was very clean, well maintained, and check in was very quick and easy. Also parking was right outside of each room, very convenient! Beautiful courtyard with pool outside a set of French doors. Can’t think of anything negative.

Exceptional

It was mostly clean. Ac didn't work.hot room. Bright light right outside the double doors. Like daylight trying to sleep. Beds were hard . Very outdated. The best thing was convenient to the beach we were going to, and shopping
