Convenient and affordable

I travel a lot and here’s my 2 cents: this place is close to the beach, dining options etc. what makes it stands out is the night time activities at the property especially on The Weekends! The hotel bar and ball room comes alive. And don’t forget to try the warm free chocolate chips cookies at the front desk. If you are fat, the showers may be a little tight. That’s all folks.

Convenient location Comfortable rooms, very clean

The room was quiet for the most part and there were plenty of towels. The staff were not very welcoming. Felt like chore to check us in and answer our questions. The hotel was supposedly renovated recently but I guess they forgot our room. The bed squeaked like something in a Motel 6, the toilet ran continuously and we ended up having to cut off the water to stop the noise, parking was a nightmare and the bar played music so load it made it impossible to have a conversation. We'll stay elsewhere next time.

Everything was great except our room didn't have a microwave for reheating food, and a microwave in a hotel room is pretty standard. 🤷‍♀️ However, we later learned my parents DID have a microwave in their room because they chose a different room type. ✅️

Overall very nice. The pillows were pretty bad though, like sleeping on a sandbag. Also didn't give us our cookies at check-in, but that's probably for the best.

I arrived at the property about 12:20 am and was assigned a room with two queen bed in contrast to King bed. When I inquired why the discrepancy, I was simply commanded to either take what was available and offered or cancel it and find another hotel. All attempts to contact the manager failed because I kept on leaving message for the manager even the next morning, I was still unable to reach the manager. The offered reason, was he will be in a meeting for five(5) hours. There is nothing fairly or remotely resembling courtesy about the hotel. I will never book this hotel nor encourage customers to please be mindful of such falsified advertisements even with a confirmed email from the hotel. The DoubleTree Hotel in Virginia Beach is the worse of the worse.

Very nice facility. My family stayed 2 days. We had a 2 Queen Bed Room. Very nice size. We also paid for the Buffet Breakfast during our stay. The first day the breakfast was good, but the second day we went, the buffet was nearly empty and staff took a long time to refill the buffet. My family and left and went somewhere else.

The bathroom sink and shower kept backing up and they couldn’t fix it.the fridge wouldn’t stay cold and the door wouldn’t shut

The staff was wonderful.

Room was clean and also the view… This place is a must to stay. Will definitely come back again.
