Best thing is the location, convenient to the museums and the Metro at L'Enfant Plaza. Not fancy, but extremely comfortable, well maintained, extremely clean, and a good restaurant/bar. This was my third stay and we will be back to see some more of the Smithsonian!

If you enjoy sleeping on a flat board and post-trip chiropractic visits, this is the hotel for you. Unfortunately, the horrendous beds and extremely poor service at the restaurant outweigh the positives of the hotel.

The staff are mostly nice and welcoming. The room was terrible to attempt to sleep in. The A/C compressor was extremely loud when it would cycle on. If that doesn’t keep you awake, the nearby train frequently sounding its horn will. The tub spout diverter valve did not function properly and took a lot of force to make it work to take a shower. The mattresses are very stiff so after a long day of walking, it’s not relaxing. We left one night earlier to return home to get some sleep. Again the staff are good and the hotel is conveniently located to museums and attractions but the lack of sleep trade-off is a hard one to overcome.

Gym equipment was broken.

Great place to stay in Washington DC. Short walk to the national mall and capital. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend staying here.

Nice spacious room. Parking garage is creepy, and a long way from your room. Mostly quiet at night. Having a Starbucks off the lobby was nice. Conveniently located to Natl Mall and museums.
-
Location was great. Only negative feedback is the bathroom smelled like sewage the entire stay.
-
Location was nice! Staff was extremely unfriendly, very dirty rooms, and the pool was closed which was the main reason we chose this hotel.
-
Excellent location to Capital Hill, Air & Space, Bus Tour Stop, The Wharf, L’Enfant Metro Station. Excellent lobby staff. Ready to help you succeed! Rooftop closed, after Labor Day I assume, but the weather was still great and it would have been ideal. Maybe barrier the pool and allow access.

The only good thing about this place was the proximity to the museums and monuments. It wasn't close to anything else (food or shops). It's old, worn out (broken furniture, peeling wallpaper, gross carpet) smells funny and the majority of the staff are unpleasant and slow (waiting for ages outside the restaurant to be seated with staff ignoring us and walking away, etc.) The hotel is right next to the train tracks with trains going all hours of the night blasting the horn.

The staff was great. The manager was very kind and helpful. I can’t hear was one of the best I’ve ever seen or used in all my travels. He was friendly, helpful, joyful, and always there to help with good information and places to go see.

The best part of this hotel is definitely the location! Many attractions are within walking distance, scooters are always available outside, and Uber rides were short and usually around $20 or less. We visited about two museums per day, including the National Zoo. Starbucks is connected to the lobby, so we had breakfast there every morning to save time. On our last day, we tried the hotel buffet and it was delicious. The hotel also stored our luggage after checkout since our flight was in the evening. The lady at the tour desk was very helpful with planning our museum visits, and the staff was friendly. The room was comfortable, but the furniture and décor felt a little dated, our curtains were torn at the bottom, and there was no microwave. The pool is very small and was too crowded the first time we tried to use it, but we enjoyed it early on our last morning. The lifeguard was very kind. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel for its excellent location and friendly service. It worked very well for what we wanted on our first D.C. trip!
