Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dallas NE - Allen by IHG

The jacuzzi tub did not work even after trying to reset it multiple times. The fans in the bathroom did not work. The tv remote only worked if you were standing right next to it. Couldn’t get the sleep function to move once I got it to turn on. Had to use the input button to get it to go away. Eggs were brown and sausage overcooked. Coffee was good since they had the hazelnut creamer. Bed was comfy. Ac was loud but it kept the car noise from outside down.

The air quality is poor in the room, the air conditioning was loud and making noise, the smell of the room was poor, made allergies worst, no vent fan in bathroom, the phone did not work at all. The Clerk never told us about breakfast and it was horrible

Windows were so dirty. You couldn’t see out of them. I had to have the front desk, clerk come and help me with the TV because everything I tried didn’t work to get an actual channel. One of the bed lamps didn’t work the outlet plugs were so worn out that my charger would not charge my phone all night as the plug kept falling out. The noise from 75 was actually a nuisance as well when we were trying to sleep in this morning. We’ve had no AC in our house and we also had a toilet flood out so we were looking for a good nights rest. I did not find that there.

The bathroom door lock was broken, and there were ants and cockroaches in the room. The staff was good, but the property itself is not.

This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays my family has experienced. We arrived around 11 PM after a 5-hour drive with our 8-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son. The lobby smelled strongly of marijuana. I reported it to the front desk and contacted Expedia at 11:30 PM; they documented the complaint and notified the manager. The first room was unacceptable. The bathroom had significant rust/corrosion, blackened and deteriorated caulking, damaged surfaces, and areas that appeared to have mold/mildew, as shown in the photos. The carpet was extremely dirty and sticky. After our daughter walked barefoot on it, her feet were visibly brown/black from dirt and residue. The next morning, staff refused to refund the night or cancel our second night. We were moved to another room that was only slightly better. The second room had an ant problem. After our 1-year-old dropped a tiny piece of cookie, an entire trail/cluster of ants gathered around it within about 10 minutes. After a long drive with two young children, dealing with marijuana odor, poor cleanliness, deteriorated bathroom conditions, filthy carpet, ants, and an unwillingness to provide a reasonable resolution was extremely disappointing. This was a serious cleanliness, maintenance, pest-control, and customer-service failure. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families.

The refrigerator was frozen up and not working. When we came into the room there was a half dead roach on the bathroom floor.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The property itself is rundown and dingy - the carpet could use a refresh as well as the restrooms updated. The shower and tub were stained and had mildew growing on the tile. I believe this is a very old property, not what I expected from an IHG property. I’ve stayed at others that were much nicer and newer.

The shower and tub were very outdated, TV did not work, the AC unit was very loud and rattled all night. Because it was so hot outside, we couldn't turn it off.

Both TV's in the room are non functional, setting tap to get hot water is tricky, lot of noise from the room above. Breakfast is worst. Parking and staff are only good in this hotel rest all are terrible

Unfortunately, holiday Inn , has dropped the level. Still OK place to stay for one night , but very plain room . Super basic breakfast, So, they say they offer free breakfast , but because of l9w quality always have to go somewhere else for breakfast.
