Holiday Inn Amarillo East by IHG

Staff was very nice. The owners were less nice. The breakfast was $15 a day.

The room was a nicely designed and laid out room. However, housekeeping didn't empty the trash or clean out from under the bed prior to my arrival. There were citrus seeds still in the sink. During my stay, housekeeping did not replace the linens or empty the trash without me calling after returning to the room having expected it to be taken care of. I'd removed the door hangers at 6:30 AM and returned at about 5:30 PM. The staff were friendly and immediately addressed the deficiencies. I'd stay there again. Parking is not the best though.

be advised that breakfast IS NOT included in the hotel stay. It's $15 per person or $15 per room if you purchase it in advance (like when you check in). it's not worth the $15 for yourself in my opinion. I would just go to ihop or something if I'm going to spend that kind of money. The hotel itself was very nice, staff was wonderful, and it was insanely clean. The staff did a wonderful job keeping up with it. The pizza you can order from the hotel bar at night is very good too.

First time I’ve ever had to pay extra for breakfast at a holiday inn! Then scanned a QR code in the room for super, ordered a soup and got it 2.5 hours late.

Superb

the booking.com reservation did not make it to the hotel. I had to secure another set of rooms at additional cost. your 'customer service' app was garbage. I will not be using your services again. the booking.com reservation did not make it to the hotel. I had to secure another set of rooms at additional cost. your 'customer service' app was garbage.
