Woodspring Suites Ashland - Richmond North

The room was mediocre, at best. The water pressure was minimal and half the time, wasnt enough to start the shower. Asked for another room and they couldn't or wouldn't. Asked for a discount and it fell on deaf ears. I was in town with my teammate as we were competing in a powerlifting event. So two grown powerlifting men were stuck in a room with no shower. Disappointed in this company. I cant see me returning unless they reached out with a week of free nights. Do not recommend.

Bed very uncomfortable. Lots of road noise. Only 2 towels and one tiny shampoo for 3 guests. Asked not to be near dogs, but heard dogs acrosa the hall barking. Many gross smells in the halls.

Please know this is an extended stay hotel. Some people are not just staying night. They are figuring out their lives and getting out of hard times. Very humbling. The staff was A+ and the place is very well kept.

Overall experience was good , the water flow is slow in washroom , which needs to be fixed and floors are sticky need some clean up.

Convenient location. Pretty noisy.

Good location for the most part, except for all night traffic noise Girl at front desk didn’t seem to know what she was doing. Insisted on charging me a fee for my service dog - She said “anything with hair” (which isn’t legal in VA). I basically had no choice, as they would charge me for the room anyway if I walked out, and I’d have no place to stay. Toilet ran constantly, thermostat didn’t work at all so it got really hot in the room, there was NO breakfast (advertised as free breakfast) I didn’t get any sleep, left around 5:00am, there wasn’t even coffee when I left.

In-room kitchen but no dishes/cooking utensils.

Our only problem was the water pressure. It was almost bare to nothing. Good thing it was just one day stay for us.

Clean but kind of getto.. Man sleeping in lobby obviously drunk. Rv didn’t work and asked for help twice. No one ever came

The hotel appears to be based on minimal amenities for a reasonable price. The staff was welcoming and assisted in solving a minor problem, quickly and efficiently. The initial impression upon reaching the hallway to my room, was some trash on the floor, which also appeared that the carpet had not been vacuumed recently. There was a cart at the end of the hallway, so I figured the items would be corrected. The next day, the same items were still in place. The room was mostly clean, with exception of the ice dumped in the bathroom sink. One towel, one washcloth, one small bar of soap, one cup, and a small shampoo bottle. The room had a full sized refrigerator, microwave, and stove top. There are no other kitchenware provided, which includes glasses, pots, nor hand soap. The room does have a nice sized television, small desk space, and a comfortable corner chair. The bed was firm and comfortable for me, but the pillows are not very supportive. The flooring is without carpeting. The room did have a great air conditioner and control panel, which definitely could put a good chill in the air. There is one elevator. This location is good for a one or two night stay.

It is a very busy place....displaced famlies ?, recovering patients?, out of town work crews, trucks, boats, etc fill the parking lot. No smoking within 25 feet of the building but a huge ashtray ( and a crowd) next to the rear exit door. Attractively designed, but understaffed. Hallways had multiple pet spots/stains. Late nights and early mornings the hallways and elevator can be quite dirty. Over priced for the existing condition of the property.

Where it was since I traveled 10 hours to get there. The place is beautiful on the outside. Could use some cleaning up The bed was nomore than a spring cot. And the smell was horrible on the pillows like if someone else slept on them. There was no soap, shampoo... nothing. And all the yelling from the people that are there, which it looks like they may live there. Idk but I was very disappointed.
