Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Richmond Ashland

We have been staying here for the past three years going on four due to football games. We were never disappointed.

Room was clean and comfortable The refrigerator did not stay on it only worked for two hours and then would shut off

Everything was excellent! I had to move my family from staying at a hotel right beside Kings Dominion. The first hotel was awful so I read reviews and found Fairfield and it exceeded expectations. I would absolutely recommend the 13 minute drive to KD and stay here. The 13 minute drive to Kings dominion was worth it to stay here!

Tony the front end was really helpful and pleasant to talk to.

Beware the WiFi and Netflix are a hit and miss. Come prepared with a hotspot.

We did a late check in and staff was outstanding to accommodate us! He offered us snacks and water! The complimentary breakfast was delicious there were alot of options

Friendly staff and clean. Terrible coffee. Not everyone likes or can tolerate dark roast. Please switch to medium. Also I didn’t appreciate a liberal news source playing during breakfast. Please pick something neutral like HGTV or TV Land so your customers do not get offended.

There was a dirty washcloth in our shower. The light bulb was out on the bedside table. When we put the tv on the volume came on at 100

Loved this property and location! The mattress was way too firm for me but other members in my family found it very comfortable.

10 minutes after checking in the power went out and stayed out until the middle of the night. We did not have hot water or AC.

We have stayed at this property before. They have increasingly improved since then. Front desk staff greeted us that we felt so welcome. We received welcome treats. They even had a gift bag for our dog. One of the items was poop bags WITH the dispenser. Now that’s service. We were on the 4th floor that had an ice machine. As someone who is going through hot flashes, that ice machine was awesome sauce. We had the studio room with the sofa bed. I’m not sure if it’s in the description, but the room is essentially two distinct areas with two tvs. If you have a big family or partners that want to watch something g difference having that additional space is godsend. The bathroom was spacious too. The only downside was the toilet being low. I’m used to chair height. So, rub your knees with icy hot and you’re good to go. Now let’s talk about the area. Fantastic. Quite a few eateries nearby. The hotel exit from I95 is 89. The exit with a horde of eateries is 92. However, there is a Dublin, royal farms, and Bo jangles right next door. If you’re crafting then hobby lobby is across the street. There is a dedicated bathroom area for dogs with a trash. Plus there are quite a few green spaces around the property. Breakfast was decent too. There was indoor and outdoor seating. Sadly no one used the pool. It was clean. I’m not in Richmond often unless it’s an event, but the next time I am in town this is where I am staying.
