Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Austin-University Area

When checking in the staff wasn’t as friendly as they could be. Barely spoke and seemed as if I was bothering her when asking questions. I was new to the area and never stayed there. Nobody else was there so she could have taken the time to be pleasant and helpful.

Facilities need updating and repair. Missing tiles in the breakfast area along with chairs that need to be replaced. Patched Sheetrock unpainted. Facility look’s worn

Everything was great

The staff and the pillows, thats about it. The room smelled like wet socks. Might as well have Breakfast at McDonald's, its much better in comparison. This has got to be the worst business lodging I have ever experienced. Never at this location again. I will be letting the whole team know not to book at this property. Least the staff was great. Other than that, book elsewhere.

Exceptional

Reserved room was for 2 queen beds but instead were put into a one bed room with a pull out couch. For 3 people that was not acceptable. The pull out couch was impossible. Was told that the hotel could not guarantee room type when reserved through 3rd party app. No compensation just tough luck. No mention of this in my reservation. Also breakfast from 6-10 was being dismantled at 9 am. Will never stay here again!

Great location to get to and from Moody Center. Close access to highway without the congestion. Breakfast was delicious!

The was room in excellent shape and breakfast was good but the hallway and common areas were in rough shape. Also a homeless encampment was just behind the fence.

Proximity to the hospital. Seemed a little sketchy at night. Bed was terrible.

No bar soaps provided for bathroom. Asked to use shower gel instead. No breads in the breakfast bar on 2nd day, staff would not consider making no-meat option for the egg muffin.

It’s good for sleeping and close to where I needed to be.. it’s an average hotel

The room was fine, clean. The bed was comfortable which is very important for me. The staff was excellent, extremely nice and helpful. I might stay here again when I’m in town.

They were doing renovations, but we were out in a room far enough away. It was peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was good and the staff was very nice.

Staff is friendly and nice. Elevator button was broken . We had to use stairwell to come downstair.

Parking area was smaller than I expected. Food delivery for the area was decent. Did a stay over night since traveling through. Great for an overnight stay. AC worked great. Location not really close to food places but it was good otherwise.
