Breakfast options of sweet or savory each day, with different items on the menu each day. Every option was excellent.

We stayed 3 nights here and it was so hard to leave! The breakfasts were incredible and delicious. There was always coffee, tea, and treats set out to enjoy. The room was cozy and the Inn was within walking distance of the downtown area! Isabella and Stefan were wonderful to talk to and the BnB experience is 100% worth the price tag! We understand why people opt for this personal touch and incredible food experience. They also went out of their way to make our anniversary trip feel extra special with personal touches. Thank you Isabella, Stefan and staff!

The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. Proximity to shops and restaurants was good as well. I really enjoyed my stay here.

The Clefstone is an incredibly beautiful place with the nicest people on the island. Our room was awesome and the breakfast was top notch. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Beautiful inn

It was a great proximity to downtown Bar Harbor. We had room 17 and it was pretty small. Overall nice and cozy, but a few things were gross and could easily be addressed. The first one is mold in the shower. No one wants that. The second is that there was a frosted glass door to the bathroom and one of the windows was broken and tape was holding it together. One really nice amenity is being able to use the pool and hot tub of the adjacent hotel.

Great historic property. A cozy inn with comfy, beds and great books and really good toiletries. Close to everything. We will come back.

The entire Inn is furnished to an exceptional standard with lots of character and individuality in each of the public rooms and large bedrooms. The decor throughout is exceptionally tasteful and we were greeted with a warm welcome and helpful advice on what to do and where to go .. would recommend highly and we will definitely return..

The staff was wondeful! They were extremely friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated their eagerness to accommodate my dietary needs (vegan) and every breakfast was delicious. We also loved the 24/7 drinks and amazing baked goods. We would stay there again!

The inn is historic but brought into contemporary time. The attention to guest amenities was a nice surprise.

This was disappointing for the price. We thought the breakfast would be much better and have more variety also. The grout in the shower area had not been cleaned in some time as well as the shower curtain bottom was moldy since there was no plastic liner. I also went looking for someone to give me ice at 10 PM amd there was no one to be found. Not an option to get it yourself. We wanted to open the windows since it was cool but there were no screens.

One of the best experiences we had so far on our roadtrip through Canada/USA! Steffan and Hodari were both very nice! Steffan told us about the architecture and even organized an earlier breakfast that usual. I hope I can return next year and enjoy this Inn again! If you are looking for something clean, great hospitality, charme, good location- this is it. It can be a bit cold but you can heat through A/C!
