It was luxurious in appearance and very pretty and elegant. The rooms were lovely and clean. But I look for practicality, functionality, good VALUE, as well as cleanliness. I won't be staying there again.

Out of all the places in the area this one looked the best. It is out dated but deff better than the other options

We had a great stay at the Renaissance Baton Rouge and would definitely stay there again. All of the staff was friendly and so helpful. Highly recommend!

The check-in was horrible. on Sunday night, September 6, 2026, I checked in. I waited for 15 minutes for check-in because no one was at the front desk. The woman was unprofessional looking, and she acted like she did not want to be at work. I almost cancelled my reservation and left. However, checking out was so awesome. The young lady, Ms. Shenae was soooo sweet and so professional. If you can give her a raise for her professionalism and kindness, please give her recognition and a raise.

Upon arrival I found that despite reserving a king bed I was given queens. Would not provide a late checkout despite the fact I was attending a conference on the property. Just found the staff not very friendly or helpful.

Location was good. Nice, but older hotel. The hotel was a bit dated. Housekeeping service was spotty -- they missed a day and did not deliver a full set of towels.
