SpringHill Suites Birmingham Downtown at UAB

I like the fact that the room was clean and decent. Breakfast was Good. This is probably the only thing that I appreciated about this property. We were told onsite that the pool was under construction. I wasn't particularly impressed with the fact the parking garage was so far away. The elevator was down and we had to walk stairs to get to the room which was unsafe because the lights in the hallway was also down. Only 1 light was working.

We were only there for a night, but the price we paid I expected a little more. The design of the shower left water all over the floor. It doesn’t make sense why there wouldn’t be a full door to the shower. We had trouble finding water anywhere to fill up our bottles. I finally asked and the front desk woman told me it was one of the dispensers near the juice that was labels something else. The complimentary breakfast was ok. But there were two large urns for coffee and both were empty. We had breakfast around 8:00 so it wasn’t even the end of the meal time.

The beds are comfortable and everything from the lobby to the bedroom was clean & fresh.

Bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and roomy for 2 people. However, the sink didn't drain well, the cable box was just hanging by cords from the TV (not on any sort of shelf), and the wood under the refrigerator was really beat up. The TV and wood didn't affect our stay but it wasn't aesthetically pleasing. Also, one elevator was not working (leaving just one elevator in use). Would I stay here again? Possibly, but I wouldn't pay the same rate I did this time.

Location, staff, breakfast, parking Not having luggage carts was an inconvenience

The staff were nice rooms were great but the elevators were down and this is the second time this has happened while at this hotel

Good

Nothing Most lights on room the room didn't work. Air conditioner was either cold or off. One elevator was broken again and got stuck in the one working. MX was called to get out.

The staff here made all the difference in our stay. Specifically Janet. I booked our stay with my mother for the duration of her chemotherapy treatment at UAB this week. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make us comfortable and even offered a late check out so that we would not have to find something to do in this heat between appointment times. We will definitely be returning.

staff were great I was never told that only one of the elevators were working. Then after checking in and having a room on the top floor the other elevator had gone out.

Exceptional

We did not get to try breakfast, we stayed here for appointments at Kirkland clinic, perfect choice! It was very close by!

The breakfast was lacking and ran out of food

Staff was friendly Noisy at times

Passable

Nicely furnished room. The service was a little under par. Breakfast was just okay.

Place needs updating. Holes in carpet, refrigerator not working. TV worked sometimes. Water never got hot. Elevators are sketchy.

Very noisy - breakfast sub par - internet terrible
