Horizon Inn and Ocean View Lodge

Clean room, good continental breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable bed.

Bed was very comfortable and room clean. Balcony with ocean view was nice. Breakfast was disappointing I feel if you offer it you could a little more effort into it.

Perfectly located. Breakfast basket adorable Nothing.

We loved our breakfast basket delivered to our door at the morning. It was so charming

Exceptional

That it was delivered, and very good Nothing

The amenities such

Clean room, close to beach and restaurants, great staff

The pictures on Expedia look way nicer the property is outdated . The beds appear outdated. For the price you could get a better hotel. The room wasn’t too clean and the bathroom is weird as well as a jacuzzi in the kitchen . “Spa” is only a jacuzzi . Overall it worked out but wouldn’t stay here again.

Very good

Exceptional

Nothing. Bathtub clogged and nobody to fix it.

In this town overall, don't expect brand new; that's not what this place is about. It's very nice, and we enjoyed our short stay very much here.

The staff who welcomed me was very kind and the room was cozy. Great location as well in a quiet part of Carmel. The wifi was spotty and when I called the front desk, he said "well it's been working fine for me and no one else has mentioned anything." I had to use my phone's hotspot to do work and the tv would stop because of bad connection. It was also super duper hot in the room. I had two fans on, left the window open all day and night, and when I called to ask about another room, the same man said he couldn't accommodate but did drop off a third fan at my room. The breakfast basket was a bit underwhelming as well but love the idea (small oj, banana, activia yogurt, and a croissant).

Lovely setting and accommodations. Enjoyable but dated and still enjoyable. Received well at registration desk; Rudy was very helpful. Breakfast was totally great and lots of coffee available. Interior bath and room were very clean but tired and needs updating.

Loved the close proximity to beautiful Carmel. Loved the gorgeous courtyard with spa and fireplaces to gather around in the evening. Loved the wine and cheese on offer from 4 - 6pm every night. Beautiful, quiet grounds and friendly, helpful staff. For two of us in the bed, it was too soft.

Very good
