Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte University Place

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable hotel to stay with great amenities. The staff is nice and attentive, the property itself was clean, my room was clean and spacious. They offer free breakfast, which was good. They also offer an every evening kickback situation, which was also good. The location is great also. You don't necessarily need a car to get around either. Everything is within a walkable distance, even the city train, if you want to go further out of the general vicinity. This hotel is an awesome contender in the hospitality space for sure.

We have stayed at this location years ago and it was great then and it still is now. Clean room. Helpful staff, breakfast and evening reception were great. We saved alot of money having breakfast and dinner at the hotel. We will definitely stay here again.

Softest quietest bed in the world, amazing shower/bathroom setup, very friendly staff. I couldn't figure out why our AC was cutting out every 5 or so minutes when trying to cool the room down upon arrival, but it may have been User Error. The room could've also used some garbage bags, but other than those two things, this was a 10/10 stay. I will be staying here every time I'm in Charlotte from now on.

Everyone was helpful and kind

The breakfast is very good, a free soda machine available until 9pm. The evening "snack" is more along the lines of a dinner with multiple choices all of which are very tasty. Then each adult gust gets a voucher for 2 free drinks at the bar. This was my first time staying at a Drury hotel and I am beyond impressed.

Great stay! Friendly staff and smooth check-in. The room on the 3rd floor was spotless and really comfortable. Being close to the University City light rail station made getting to my concert at the Spectrum Center super easy—only $6.60 for a day pass with free garage parking, which beat dealing with downtown traffic and pricey parking. They even threw in two free drink tickets at the bar! Highly recommend.

Everything is always amazing

This hotel stay was epic!! Hotel is right off the highway. We went to a concert at Trilliant Pavilion which was 7-12 min away, on the next exit. They greeted with a huge room for four adults, two large queen beds. Each adult gets two drinks at dinner. We swam in the pool which is one inside and outside design, with a hot tub, shower, and towels. It was a Tuesday and they served fajitas (Taco Tuesday!) with all the fixings and tomato soup which was incredible and fun seating at a high top, open space. Felt safe in this area too. It’s was also 9 min from IKEA which was our first time experience the next day before heading home. Their breakfast has these eggs that were amazing with feta cheese mixed with sundried tomatoes, and pancakes, waffles, and good fresh oatmeal. Staff are so friendly and just beautiful people. Will definitely stay here again!!

My family enjoyed our stay! Very nice and helpful staff. Clean room and facilities. The beds were comfortable and the room quiet. Location is favorable to where we needed to go. The 5:30 pm kickback was a very pleasant surprise! Haven’t encountered anything like that at previous hotels. Would highly recommend!
