Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Downtown / River North

I would highly recommend and it is walkable to many wonderful restaurants and shopping at the Magnificent Mile! Lastly, the free breakfast was awesome! 😋

I will advise people to shop around for the best per night room charges.

The staff was excellent in the room was very clean. The only thing that i was missing with some pool other than that wonderful experience

We stayed in Room 2015 for four nights. Overall, we had a pleasant stay with no major complaints, but there are definitely areas where this hotel could improve, especially considering what we paid. First, the positives! Our room was incredibly quiet. We never heard our neighbors, which was a huge plus. Our window overlooked what appeared to be an apartment building with a beautiful rooftop. There was even a narrow rooftop area where residents brought their dogs out to play, so we got to enjoy watching the little pooches! The cabinets and stainless steel appliances looked nice, but the sink faucet looked like something straight out of the 1980s. The garbage disposal was ridiculously loud and sounded like it was on its last leg. We didn't report it during our stay, but management should definitely inspect it. The cooktop also showed considerable wear, including chipped edges. The bedroom thermostat looked like another relic from the '80s. The bathroom could also use some modernization. The bathtub and fixtures were dated, and the toilet was unusually low.

Great location and nice property. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were good not great. A bit dated. Breakfast had variety but quality was fairly poor.

THE BREAKFAST WAS FREE BUT NOT FILLING. POWDER EGGS ETC. FRUITS WERE GOOD, YOUSHOULD OFFERMORE VARIATY OF MEATS. THE STAFFWAS VERY PROFESSIONAL BUTDIDNT OFFER A LOT FOR DIABETICS, NO SUGAR FREE SRYUPS ETC

The accommodation and apartment were very good. It was great to have access to a private kitchen, even though we did not end up using it. The breakfast was continental, which is perfectly fine, although European continental breakfasts are often more extensive. I am not an environmental activist, but I found it noteworthy that such a large hotel chain serves breakfast using paper plates and plastic cutlery. I would expect large and successful companies to meet at least a minimum standard when it comes to environmental responsibility and sustainability commitments.

Great spot to stay! The location is convenient and close to everything. If you don’t feel like eating out, the room has a kitchen, which is a great bonus. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it!

Breakfast was great and clean and very friendly staff. Front seat staff were wonderful! The bathroom plumbing was loud. But other than that it was a great experience

The check inn process was confising since the property said that Expedia overbooked the reservations and by the time I got to the hotel they said there were no rooms available and wanted to trasfer me and my family to another property at 2am. Unacceptable!

Excellent location, exceptional staff, great complimentary breakfast, clean, well equipped suite rooms. The cost is pretty high, but that is to be expected in a big city, especially during a holiday weekend.

It was almost midnight, and after begging, they found me a room, but not before I was very upset and unsure where I was supposed to go because O’Hare was not close to where I needed to be. Apparently, this was a problem with Expedia rather than with the Marriott reservation system. Ultimately, I’m not sure.

It was in a great location. The view was amazing. Breakfast was great. The staff was great and super helpful. There needs to be a better system for storing bags before it’s check in time. It was chaotic and slow. I wish there was a designated line and multiple people helping in peak times

Free breakfast . Staff was helpful when I needed extra towels I could hear loud car ride by but I guess that’s the city life . Next time I’ll take the highest floor for no noise level . LOL
