The staff at check-in was curt and cold (not friendly at all). The room was nice and clean. Shower was wonderful. Breakfast was usual fare - nothing out of the ordinary. Parking was TWO BLOCKS away. Not good.

The good news was the location.The employees are unfavorable as they know complaints are anticipated. Our room was not ready 6 PM.I made the bed. My husband obtained the bathroom cleaner and cleaned the BR.Carl exchanged the bed spread for a fresh one. Do NOT stay here.Breakfast was all carbs. Room needed a good vacuum and dusting.

Shawn at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He was able to help us find our way to several local parks and attractions. Very enjoyable stay!

It was really noisy in the early morning. The parking pass was nice. The free breakfast was minimal.

Great location to downtown Deadwood, clean room but had a hard time getting a hold of front desk to check TV that wasn't working.

We were in a great location, walking distance for around town. Rooms were clean and they did provide a small continental breakfast. The gentlemen running the desk seemed to be there for just a job. Not your typical greeter when you come into a hotel. Other than him, it was a great stay.

The Gold Dust was an okay hotel. The room was small and we had a portable AC unit in the room that took up space, but it was nice to have an AC so that was definitely tolerable. The TV didn't have a remote, a new remote was delivered, but it would not turn off the TV. We just turned down the TV at night when it was bedtime. The location was good. Parking was a little bit away from the hotel so if it is raining or snowing it would be a miserable walk back to the hotel. The breakfast was basic. You could make pancakes, have muffins, and or cereal. Not a lot of breakfast to choose from. Ok place to stay.

Location , was very quiet The room was very small, the freezer needed, defrosting, no room for the coffee maker except the bathroom sink.

Nice location The room was dirty. Food left in the fridge. Bed was hard as a rock. Staff was not at all helpful if you could even find them. Would not recommend for the price

The room was not cleaned. The bathroom had toothpaste mess on the sink, the toilet looked like it had not been scrubbed in quite some time, and the shower also had not been cleaned. There was previous customer’s long hair throughout the shower including a big clump left. The bedspread had an undesirable stain. Another guest told me she experienced the same where it was obvious her bathroom had not been cleaned.

Location was great and the gal at the front desk checking in was nice The room and bathroom wasn't cleaned and they couldn't move us, they did come in and clean the disgusting toilet and should have had them clean the whole room but it was late and we were tired. The fridge was completely frosted over so everything we put in there froze. The next morning at 7:15 am our door was opened and thank God we had the upper safety lock latched so the door only opened a couple of inches I did yell and they shut the door. I addressed the front staff and another staff member gave a key to mantinance thinking it was an unoccupied room. They apologized and gave us 2 free meals at mavericks, still was very uneasy the rest of our stay and did have the key card changed. There was a Very unfriendly guy that worked the front desk the remaining time that we were there. We stayed at the suite last year and it was perfect but the hotel was a different story wasn't fond of the breakfast either !

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had great amenities. The bed was very comfortable.

All the pop machines were out of order. Ice only on the first floor, coffee maker was dusty, but for the money, and the location it was good.

Found a half eaten steak in fridge and TV remote under bed. Otherwise happy with my stay...
