21c Museum Hotel Durham

The only negative to us was that we had to order ice through the front desk. We prefer having access to an ice machine to get ice at our convenience. The valet staff was friendly and always brought our vehicle promptly.

Location is great. Interesting design/ exhibition inside. The reception staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming. The hotel does not provide travel adapters, so as a guest travelling from Europe, I was unable to use any of my electronic devices during my stay. On one occasion, the door to my room was left open after housekeeping. Fortunately, nothing was missing, and I assume the door simply did not close properly. Nevertheless, this was unsettling and left me with an unpleasant feeling regarding the room’s security.

Truly enjoyed this hotel. Located downtown in the heart of everything. It was very clean. Totally loved the museum and bank vault. Staff were amazing as well. Room was spotless.

you only get 18 dollars for a breakfast vouchers and it costs 21 to get bacon and eggs. I thought this was foolish, being that there aren't many options for a hearty breakfast under 18. also, it has to be charged to your room and they wont charge your card for room service. not being able to pay online fo rmy breakfast and having it sent up to my room instead of being charged to my hotel room. it's kind of a gray area is you use affirm or klarna to book your stay, because what happens then?

This is a charmingly retro, art-centric hotel. Fun to stay at 21c.

Valet team was excellent every time we needed them. AM front desk attendants were poor and not very helpful about the confusing exit doors. He also told me he could not give me a bag of ice for my small cooler. Had to get ice from a gas station. Other Front desk attendant called me out about my card not working...he blamed me and asked if i had another card....then his supervisor told him HE had made a mistake and showed him how to fix it. No apology for blaming it on me..

Very convenient location for DPAC events, easy street parking.

It was unique; the location was exceptional.

Great location in the center of the city. Cool art in the lobby. Valet parking is $35. I thought I would park in the street but a number of homeless people were begging within yards of the hotel.

The property was beautiful. The staff was excellent! They were extremely helpful and friendly. in our room... small holes in the sheets, the glass table was so wobbly we could not use it, the coffee machine was very loud and there was mold in the glass shower along the floor. we were in room 311.
