Candlewood Suites Harlingen by IHG

Had the worst smell ever. There was also trash inside the fridge and carpet was nasty.

Location was Great! We stayed in a King suite 215 and it smelled wet, musty and dirty. It just had an unpleasant smell and both air conditioners barely blew cool air. Front desk girl was unhelpful more into her phone and seemed bothered when you had to ask her a question.

Needs a lot of renovation.

The ower was yelling banging on the doors to get out when it was 11:05 threatening to, call a cops. It was a very bad experience over all

It was okay.

We checked in around 730 or so, and our first room assigned to us was dirty, used towels behind the restroom door with hair and what looked like blood on the door knob. I went to the front to inform her so she assigned us a different room. The second one was worse, it had poop on the floor and poop on the toilet paper roll. and the hair dryer was thrown on the ground. So we went back to the front where she assigned us a 3rd room. It still wasnt clean but not as bad as the first 2. Last time I will be staying here.

The room was NOT clean before we got it , trash was still in rooms and toilet dirty with urine on seat rim and I had to go ask the front desk for Bleach urine spray remover for toilet and WE had to clean it ourselves. No other room was available to move.

The hotel is not clean at all. The room smelled wet and was dirty and in dire need of remodel. Will NEVER stay again. The whole hotel smelled old and wet

A great experience! In town for one nite to attend a Celebration of Life. The bed was very comedians the pillows were perfect!! Staff very friendly and room was super clean no stains on carpet.

Absolutely nothing The place was dirty. The shower was broken. They moved me to a different room, but the other room was also dirty. There was stuff in the freezer and finally I just left because there was no toilet paper towels on either one of the rooms and it had a bad smell in there I should get a refund

The bed sheets were still wet when I arrived, but wasn’t a big issue.

Beds were so comfortable, room was very spacious and clean.

Water faucet in bathroom would only produce a trickle Requested at check in 3pm room to be cleaned next day we were told you have to notify them before 12pm the day before and here it is 3pm

First room was not cleaned at all, second was marginally better. No service even when staying a week; requested it twice and it never happened. Rooms are poorly maintained and it still somewhat smells like smoke even though all the rooms have been converted to non-smoking. Would not stay again.

Location Nothing

The only positive was the staff—they were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Unfortunately, the condition of the property outweighed that. I would not recommend staying here and will not return

Room was somewhat clean however the carpet felt damp and there was a smell like mold. The refrigerator was making a loud sound and Freezer part was not working. The hallway air was set at 80 degrees!!!!! It was hot . Also the rooms had the unit on window not central air. I complained about loosing my food because refrigerator was not working properly and they did offer another room, unfortunately this room’s carpet felt damp too, this was a smaller room and also no central air. When I booked I kind of went by others reviews but that didn’t work as my experience was different. Hotel had a run down feel to it like a trucker stop type of hotel. I will never stay at this chain of hotels again.

If felt very humid and I had the AC at 65.
