Comfort Inn Hoffman Estates - Schaumburg

there’s a kiosk at the front door that checks you in…neat but not my thing. the tv in our room did not function properly-we called the next day, it was promptly taken care of. the a/c in our daughter’s room did not function-we had to call several times to get someone to come check/fix it. lady at front desk has a rudeness about her. found random hairs in bed and shower. however cleaning staff were super nice people. would likely not stay again.

Hotel was clean and was a great stay. The checking in was a little different. I paid for my hotel online. The front desk asked for another $150 on a credit card upon arrival when I walked in. The room was $254 which I already paid in full online. So this is additional charge. I asked 3 times if this would be refunded. No answer from the 2 people upfront. Then upon checking out I asked again. This lady gave me a smirk and said she doesn't know when it would be released or if I would get it back. I was over 3 hours from home and had sporting event tickets that evening. I had no choice to pay the extra amount. I hope I did not pay $400 for this hotel room.

Our toilet in our room was clogged when we checked in and there was staff at the desk to notify.

Very far away from the city. Advertised an airport shuttle, but wasn’t free or fully available. Only by request. I was even told that I was better off taking a taxi or an uber. Had I known this before booking I would have booked at a different hotel.

On our floor 2nd level it smelled unpleasant. The ice machine wasn’t working on the first and second floor and you had to go to 3rd floor. Would not stay there again.

The staff were friendly and a warm welcome . The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing . The provided breakfast was good . Warm eggs and sausage and other tasty items . The checkout was just a smooth . Highly recommended to any travel looking for a nice stay Clean and run orderly .. no hiccups . Carts for moving luggage was accessible

I do not expect a five star Breakfast as it is not a luxury hotel but the waffles were the only edible thing, in my opinion. The rooms were fine, but the ceiling were squishy. Staff was fine. There was also a $150 incidental fee at the time of check in i was not aware of. The photos and the higher reviews made this place seem like a worthwhile stay. Unfortunately, I was not impressed.

Needed a place to stay one night and found this hotel which was close to a variety of restaurants and close to highway we were on. We actually arrived early and our room was not ready. They accommodated us by moving our reservation to another room which was ready and we waited maybe 10 minutes. Very friendly person at check in or front desk. Clean and had a warm breakfast with scrambled eggs, waffles, etc. would stay again if in the area.

Keys kept deactivating (every day) despite my keeping them apart from anything potentially magnetic, phone, wallet etc). Breakfast selection was poor and a hand written note on the wall told me I couldn't take it to my room to eat. Everything paper and plastic. Just generally, blah. Won't go back.

Great location, a dated facility with limited services. Ice machine was broken, no service to change out sheets or take out trash. Parking is limited in the front and desiel trucks tend take the backside of the lot, can hear occupants when walking by their doors but not when you’re in their room, but location just off the freeway with a lot of great restaurants located nearby

The room was more excellent for an older hotel. The only thing that was a negative was on the first night the second floor hallway had an odor that made you think someone was smoking something. However each night, the small food less pungent. Also, the second floor ice machine was not working. Outside of those issues it was a very nice start.
