The staff was honestly the best part of the hotel. Everyone we dealt with was extremely nice, understanding, and did their best to help with the issues we experienced. They accommodated dinner and snacks for us, gave us a late checkout, and even helped with the parking charge. I really appreciated how the staff handled everything. Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues with the hotel itself. The elevators were extremely slow and would regularly pass floors without stopping. We weren’t the only ones having problems either—there were multiple guests complaining about them during our stay. The biggest issue was scheduled maintenance on our second day that required the entire building to have the water shut off for about five hours. We were not told about this when we checked in. Instead, a notice was slipped under our door the night before. We were traveling with two kids, so having no working bathroom for five hours was obviously a major problem. There didn’t seem to be any real plan or alternative restroom accommodations for guests, so we had to leave the hotel just to use a bathroom. I understand that maintenance has to happen, but if you’re shutting off water to an entire hotel for five hours, there really needs to be a plan for guests—especially families—and it should absolutely be communicated before or during check-in. The food itself was good, but room service was disappointing for an Embassy Suites. Everything arrived in takeout containers with plastic silverware. At other Embassy Suites we’ve stayed at, room service has come on actual plates with metal utensils, so this felt like a noticeable downgrade. The hot tub was also out of service and appeared to be getting permanently filled in with concrete. Our room itself was pretty standard and had a cute little balcony, which we were initially excited about, but there were so many spiders out there that we couldn’t realistically use it. Parking was also $10 per night. They did ultimately accommodate the parking charge for us, which I appreciated, but charging hotel guests separately just to park at the hotel they’re already paying to stay at still feels excessive. Again, I can’t say enough good things about the staff. They were kind, professional, and genuinely tried to make things right.

The room was better than expected. Enjoyed my stay.

There were two things I’d put in the category of “cheesy”. The gift for Hilton Honors members was, drum roll, 2 bottles of water. Second, was $10/night parking charge. Not deal breakers, but … Now, don’t get me wrong, the stay was pleasant, because there were many things that were great. The full breakfast, the happy hour, friendly and helpful staff, room size, comfortable bed and furniture, clean room, and the expected room amenities. Most importantly, the room rate was very reasonable. So, would I stay there again? Absolutely. I’d just make sure I’d ask for a room with a man sized toilet 😜.

Hard to operate air conditioner. Was so cold. Had to turn completely off. Don't like open room to bedroom. Or bathroom door.

Spacious room

Breakfast options, cleanliness and location. Pool is rather small for such a large hotel.

Our room was extremely cold when we arrived so asked for the engineer to come and fix it. He arrived and after some adjustments he said our thermostat was working properly and adjusted the temperature to 71 degrees. We left for dinner and when we came back to the room the temperature was at 65 degrees. Whatever we changed on the thermostat never had any affect on the air conditioning. So we went to bed in a freezing room and got very little sleep. We would have had a nice stay if it weren’t for the climate control system. See above
