The history of this property solidifies the charm. Built in 1923, it is old and not luxurious but it is quaint and cozy. My room had all the standard hotel amenities but the walls are very thin (you can hear everything) and it's very rustic. Nothing is up to date but it's still a very nice property and I'd definitely return.

Our cabin was beautiful and roomy! It had such charming decor and a lot of space for me and my three boys. It quickly felt like home. There were enough supplies in the kitchen to prepare a meal (cookware, utensils, knives, bowls, etc). I really want to come back and stay here again.

Room wasn’t very clean. Dirt on the sheets, a lot of hair in the bathroom. I cleaned twice. Rat droppings on the front porch and railing. Hair on the cleaning sponge that is used to wash the dishes.

PROS: 1. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. 2. They provide towels for your dogs. 3. Lodge is smack straight in the main town where stores and several restaurants are located. So if you want to walk for breakfast, lunch or dinner, its a less than 10 minute walk. 4. Dogs are $40 per night. Not a bad deal at all. CONS: 1. Plumbing is old. You’ll need to flush the toilet several times. The shower requires some figuring. 2. The room had an odd and suspicious dark brown carpet throughout the lodge except bathroom of course. Not sure how well maintained they were, our dogs kept sniffing something. 3. Uses physical locks which means having to manually lock/unlock everytime you leave or arrive. 4. Parking was somewhat trivial. There’s ample parking but certain spots especially closer ones that are first come first serve. 5. Windows were broken. Room struggles to cool down and noises from outside including rooms above are easily heard. 6. Bed was really firm… too firm, while pillows were way too soft. Woke up each day with shoulders and neck hurting. Overall feedback: My experience while it may seem negative, some may like this experience of the old school or closer to nature feeling. If you like the concept of glamping, this isn’t for you, otherwise Silver Pines Lodges offers a decent to good experience.

Nice place

The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was generally clean and comfortable, though I did notice the dining table and chairs were a bit dirty and could use a better wipe-down. One thing to note: we booked a room for three people, but the extra single bed was actually stored underneath the main queen bed, and it was quite difficult to pull out. It took some effort to get it set up each night. Overall, a pleasant stay thanks to the prime location and service—just a few small details that could be improved.

Excellent value. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The place was clean, cozy, comfortable, and private. I'm already planning a trip back.

I would have liked a basic continental breakfast.

The staff was great and I really enjoyed the koi pond. It was great the only thing was that the room is small and the AC is very noisy so it was hard to sleep.

Love this place, my go to every time I'm in Idyllwild. Clean, rustic, close to town. The garden in the back is so relaxing.

We loved the Peacefull, Tranquility of the property. Would definitely stay here again but a bigger room next time. First time to Idyllwild, not my last.

It’s a nice property on the outside. The room was nice at first until I realized the floor in our room was sunken in on one side of the room. I was worried I’d step wrong and fall through. The chain lock on the door was broken.
