Courtyard by Marriott Knoxville Cedar Bluff

The room was as expected and shown in the photos. The stairwell and hallways smelled like marijuana from the time we arrived until we left and we had a 2 night stay. We asked for a room on the opposite side of the building from the interstate and were given one closest to the interstate. I understand that it is not always possible to accommodate a request but felt like we reserved early and it could have been granted. We got a room with a balcony and ended up with one on the first floor which was a waste as the parking lot was right outside and didn’t seem safe. We wanted to eat breakfast there but they weren’t open yet so we ended up going to a restaurant. Can’t remember what time it was exactly but you would think a hotel breakfast would have been available by 6:00AM. The room was not ready when we arrived for check-in at the appropriate time and had to come back. Just not what you would expect from a Marriott property. There are a bunch of hotels in the area and we will be staying elsewhere in the future

No breakfast here. Some of the staff were not as helpful as many Marriotts. No good breakfast options nearby. Best part is there was not a charge for parking!

We had no water when we got back to the hotel and no water the next morning for showers.

The bistro was nice. My family was able to have a cocktail before heading to our room and they offered a nice breakfast option for the next morning. My husband experienced a medical situation before leaving the next morning and not only was one of the other guests extremely helpful (off duty RN/EMT) but management was also extremely kind and helpful. Can't thank them enough
