Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Mesquite

I really enjoyed my stay at the Courtyard Mesquite location. The only problem was there appeared to be an ant problem in Room# 210 bc we placed our food on desk and soon ants were everywhere. I was glad that I had cleaner that immediately killed them. However, I was assured the problem would be fixed and the lady at check-out counter apologized and offered a couple of things. Everything else was fine.

We love this hotel. The staff is always friendly. We love the convenience of the bar downstairs.

Not much. Interstate noise all night, took 7 hours for the a/c to cool down the room, tub needed to be refinished (rust), towel used to step out on was already wet when I checked into the room and hallway outside the room reeked of marijuana. Everything!!!!!

Poorly maintained. Halls reeked of cigarette, room was smelly and extremely humid. All surfaces of room felt sticky with humidity and extremely dusty. Water pressure was awful, television was aged, remote unresponsive with no instruction. Will never return.

Exactly what it is supposed to be- clean, decent facilities with the usual wear expected, friendly and helpful staff

Honestly the 3 starts is purely for the way Marriott has maintained this property. Of the lack of maintenance. There are basic safety issues- like stairwell doors not closing, ill fitting security locks on the doors, old AC units that can’t keep up with the Texas heat, dingy lighting, and also- furniture that is beyond worn. What this property does have going for it- the staff! Depite the wear, the hotel is spotless, rooms are cleaned with care and attention to detail. The staff is warm and helpful. Everyone I encountered was so gracious and provided the level of engagement I’d expect from a Westin, not a Courtyard. Marriott corporate- you have an amazing asset in this group of people, give them the property to match.

Roaches, toilet over flowing. Changed rooms other room the toilet would fill and the sink wouldnt drain. Room smelled like weed. Pool looked cloudy and nasty.

Horrible smell in hotel and worse in the room $7 for a bagel is ridiculous

Highly overpriced and limited coffee shop however the staff was wonderful.

The staff made this stay really worth it especially at check in, I felt welcomed and heard. Housekeeping does an amazing job! However they only did one day out of the whole week I thought that was supposed to come standard but not use to requesting housekeeping. The room was spacious but man it’s outdated for real. Has a slight mildewed smell and the carpets make me feel like I have to keep my crocs on…no lie, but again staff 10/10 very friendly and helpful..Wouldn’t stay again though honestly
